Shouldn't all team members be able to vote?

I believe that we lose a lot of feedback by only allowing the submitters to vote for the submitted games. It would be great to add some way to include each team members itch.io account on the submission, thus allowing things like the distribution of the free course or e.g. showing the game on each members itch page. And of course to be able to vote…

But besides that it was a great experience!

Hi! You can actually have all contributors vote on the games, and you can also have the game show up on each contributor's page :)

It's a bit hidden, but if you head into your profile then click  "Edit Theme", you can decide which games you contributed to you want to show up on your profile; by default it's only the game you created on itch yourself, but any game that has you tagged as a contributor can be added.

Jam Host

Yeah, you have to add your team members as an Admin to your game, then all of them can vote.

Yay! That worked. Now I can start spreading some stars! :)

Maybe you could include that info somewhere in the starter info for the next jam, as I guess there will be more itch.io newbies like me doing their first jam this way.

Can they rate the game they worked on this way? Because that would be unfair the the people who created something on their own.

No, we could not vote on our own game. The message it shows is a bit misleading though: it tells us that we wouldn’t have submitted a game. While technically correct, the co-admins have co-submitted, haven’t they…

But anyhow: this was a great experience after all. A big thanks to the guys at itch.io and GameDev.tv to create the platform for such events and organizing it!
