How does your game match the theme?
It took me quite a while to create a Gameboy style game, with a space theme, so what i did was this, and the truth is I'm not that proud of it, but I did what I could.

I liked the game. The only problem I had was I wish the difficulty scaled more quickly as you went on but besides that everything else is perfectly fine.

Honestly I liked this. It's simple but it was fun. I like the enemy ships and the sound effects. The biggest complaint I have is that the enemy ship SFX keeps playing for quite a while after they leave the screen, but other than that this feels like a great start.

Congrats on your submission!  I think a little bit of tweaking could have made it a bit better.  My suggestions would be, keep a score on the top somewhere to give users a goal to try to beat.  The other thing would be to have more enemies popping up on the screen at a time after a while.  The one enemy at a time kept the pace of the game feeling a bit slow.  If you had 1 ship on the screen until 5 ships were destroyed and then having 2 until another 5 were destroyed and then 3 ships at a time, etc.  I think you had a good base to build upon to make it better.

It's simple, but pretty well executed.  The "Game Over"  text stayed on screen when I started a new game.
