Really enjoyed! Could be a really expansive world!
Little feedback - you can drag weapons and items off the screen. I'd also work on the dice animation, maybe more of a buffering animation instead of the distracting dice.
Anyway, really nice!
I had a lot of fun with this. Choosing your equipment at the start and having to manage it in the dungeon is a great idea. And wow. The sprites look incredible. The whole game looks fantastic. The soundtrack is cool too.
It would be good to see the effects of those potions and rune-stones displayed somehow on screen, and the rng-balancing is a bit off. I wasn't hit once until the last fight, but then every time. It would also be nice to have the last weapon, that was selected, remembered in the menu. I needed to scroll to the last slot, whenever I wanted to use the weapon there.
Other than those points, this was great. I think you should definitely work on this after the game-jam.
Doesn't look or feel too much like a gameboy game but I do like the inventory mechanic. could be cool in a roguelike
Thank you, the idea was to have a rohuelike follow-up and more inventory items like ropes, thieves' tools and the like, but I left them out of the jam version because I didn't have time to program them. When voting ends I plan to post these things and update. Thanks for the feedback. :)
The music is great. I don't like the RNG based gameplay though.
Thanx for the feedback! :)
Very interesting concept. I don't think I geared up well and lost to the scorpion. I thought the stones were going to give me bonuses. I don't know what they did. Still fun. I like the dice fighting idea.
Thanx for playing. There was a mechanic of curses and poison that didn't work properly and just closing the game without them left the elements. But I'll adjust them according to other things I wanted to do and couldn't due to the jam time.
Cool idea! I didn't run into any bugs, and the only thing I would recommend is to make some items more weirdly shaped because the packing part was so easy.
Thanx for the feedback! :D There were many more items that were used in a series of corridors with cards, but I had to remove them as they were not working as they should until the end of the game jam. But I intend to fix this in future updates.
