I liked it, but it felt to me like the town could've been a bit smaller since you used the same assets quick a bit; it was a little frustrating getting around. Also, there's a glitch when fighting the captain: I fought them with three companions, and when punching, bits of them were scattering EVERYWHERE before settling back to starting positions.

It's definitely a cool idea, and I hope you keep working to expand the experience!

We were trying to make it feel like a city that was abandoned, but I could see how it would be frustrating with very little to do in between the quest items. We are working to expand this game into a more immersive questline that would culminate in the end of the game, with more combat interactions in between.

You definitely nailed the eerie, isolated feeling of walking through an apocalyptic wasteland. It was a good walking speed for such a large map. It kept me wanting to explore more. Nice job!

Thanks for playing! We were hoping it would feel sadly sprawling. I'm glad that came across. In a more fleshed out version I think it would be cool to hide ammo, more guns, bandages, quests, and narrative items you could interact with.

Enjoyable game, while I'm not one for a lot of text in games it wasn't too bad and was well done.  Not too much clicking.  Was an interesting store, I wasn't quite sure what I was doing when I started, but likely I went a bit too quickly through the dialog.  LOL  There were also a lot of doors that didn't go anywhere or when you went in there wasn't anything inside.  Maybe make it a bit more obvious which doors you should go into?  As far as I could tell there wasn't anything inside the buildings but I didn't try to go into all of them after a while of not finding anything.

I enjoyed the Gameboy feel to it in the art and music and sounds.  Great job!

Also, for anyone who tried to play it and it didn't work in chrome, make sure to turn off the blocking of 3rd party cookies as the game uses local storage, likely for game state, so it gets blocked from playing without it turned off.

Thanks so much for playing!

Yeah the houses were going to be fleshed out to include more narrative/quests, and to be a little more immersive. I added some of the interactions to tell you the doors are locked,  then occasionally there would be an open door that was meant to have a lot of junk left from the tenants clearing out to head for a ship. If you look around, MOST of the ones where you can get in were also surrounded by houses with locked doors as sort of a clue where to find the houses.

great tip on the browser blocking, I’m going to add that to the description.
