This game was such an interesting experience! At a point, I had forgotten I was playing a GB game, because this one felt almost too real! So well made! The intro to the game, the music, everything adds up to the real feeling that this game passes as we play it! And the robots are so cute as well!

It's also incredible how much content and detail were put on this game over the jam's time. A very well executed idea, for sure!

This felt like a real gameboy game! The opening looked very true to the gameboy splashscreens and all that. it reminded me of the boxing game that came with my gameboy originally! the sound is perfect. the music is super well made and sounds like legitimate gameboy soundtrack.

There was a lot going on at the beginning but I had fun figuring it all out. But I had to try combat a few times until I realized how to properly attack. Other than that it was really fun!

Eu me lembro de você na Jam do 365 indies e o jogo Chroma-chan!   :D
Deu pra perceber que a criatividade mora aí!
Gostei da ideia do robô "Bomberman" de papel. Ainda estou meio perdido na jogabilidade, mas nada como a prática para resolver esses problemas.

Adorei a música! Ficou muito fiel aos títulos de Gameboy.

Parabéns!

Adorei o "robô "Bomberman" de papel", haha. Obrigado!

This is perhaps the most hardware-accurate game I've played in this Jam, and coming from me, this is praise of the highest calibre! I don't see anything here that couldn't have been done on a real Game Boy, the graphics are spot-on, so are the music and sound effects, and you actually bothered to keep the 4 channel limit in-game! You're actually cutting out channels to play sound effects! I thought I was the only one who actually did that, but you cannot imagine how glad I am to be proven wrong!

As for the game itself, it's a fine effort! I imagine Pokemon fans would have a helluva good time with this one! Good job, and keep on respecting those limitations! I deeply and sincerely appreciate that!

Oh it's Michirin from the PC Engine music covers <3 Thank you so much for having acknowledged the channel limit :D Respecting the hardware limitations has always been my priority in the Game Boy Jam. Glad you had a good experience!

I didn't expect someone to recognise me given just how niche my content is...
But then again, maybe I should have expected as much considering the theme of the Jam...

You're welcome ^^

I've done some workarounds on the Linux version. Hope it works properly now! Thanks for letting me know about the issue.

This is super cute and charming, I really loved being able to customize a Kamibot! I named mine Juniper and it was very fun to play around with everything the game offered! This is a very unique entry and I enjoyed it a lot, great job! Really feels like something I would have played on a gameboy. :>

This is fantastic! It's a lot of things but everything feels nostalgic and authentic as if I'm playing something straight out of the 90s. Excellent job!!

This is very nice! Really reminds of a GB game. Well Done!

It looks very wierd on my linux computer so I can't play it :(

Submitted(+1)

Sadly, just a black screen under linux for me... :(

Developer

My apologies :/ Just had to export one on the last second and had no way to test it.

Submitted(+1)

I totally get that ;) Maybe, I'll be able to play it in a post-jam version

Please make sure you play and rate my game ;-)

I'm in love with this robot fighting rpg that...Strangely feels like a Tamagotchi game! I'm also in love with the idea of programming your own custom attacks into your kamibot; my "big_blast" is simply unstoppable. This game is too much fun.

Dude, this game is straight from the past, it's gameboyish as hell, really, bravo !

Holy cow! Was taken aback by the size but decided to download anyways. 100% WORTH IT! The music nailed the nostalgia of early gameboy rpgs like Pokemon/FF/DQ. I love the little scroll at the bottom for navigating the menu and the coding was a brilliant way to let the player customize their Bots. Combat is simple and understandable + you get to use the moves you make. 5s all across from me.

So sorry for the build size, haha! Side effect for having a track for each instrument.

The music for me was the best part so it's hardly a complaint! More of a IF YOU AREN'T DOWNLOADING IT BECAUSE OF BUILD SIZE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DOWNLOAD IT!
