Not very long, and not that much branch/pivot point, but the mood and the visual really sales it ! And it work on me tho

Developer

We are aware the game is very short and some parts feel forced - however, thanks for the feedback! Castillo Robin is happy to hear about visual feedback!

I really loved the art! I'm also really impressed with how well the dialogue was written and wonder if GBStudio ever gave you a hard time with randomly shifting lines down after you finished typing them. I know I had to go back through a lot of dialogue to make sure it was being displayed properly. Great game either way!

Callisto Robin is VERY happy to hear that you loved his art!
Luckily for me, GBStudio didn't give me too much of hard time of dialogue shifting, but it did happen nonetheless.
If interested, why the story looked so smooth and high quality, I took narratology classes at the university and know tricks - I can recommend you to check a book to inspire you "The Hero with a Thousand Faces" and images on the Internet "A heroe's journey". I  have followed the patterns from both.
Thank you for playing our game <333!

I know about the hero's journey because of how common it is but the book sounds interesting! Thanks for the tips.

Dang.. Bad ending!! I keep getting bad endings in these game jam games..

Incredible, a Visual Novel on the game boy. I'll have to revisit to play video games with the guy..

Developer

Awww, sad to see you've got bad ending!
And thank you, it was annoying to work on it, but at near end of development, I have figured out I could have made it 50 times faster by creating everything still as background, but face expressions would be sprites. INSTEAD, I did everything as background - hence a lot of shifts inbetween scenes. A lot of headache with GIMP on my end and my artist's too. However, we have made it c:. If not the fact I had had the issue, I would have made much longer story. But well, I am happy with the result <3.
Thank you for playing!

I love the characters (especially the "1+1" teacher :DD). Nice VN :)

Developer(+1)

Castillo Robin giggled when he read that comment :D.
Even he didn't know how I would work on Mr. Inua's expression during the gameplay! I love him!
Thank you for playing :D!
