It's fun, but I think you should improve the graphics. Also, the game uses rotating assets (the player sprite), which ruins the gameboy feel. I also wasn't sure of which button did what in the menu.

Nice little concept! it would have been nice to see the times you have finished each track maybe on the menu so you can see what time to beat for your next race. Not sure how hard it would be to add a ghost version of your self so you can see how well you did last round or how bad your doing in the current race. 

upgrades would be nice to make it so it was a bit easier to get around corners. 

Is the car suppose to be like those F-Zero ships? otherwise making it more look like a car and which way is forward would be huge QOL

It was hard at times, I would get the hang of it for a second but then the race would end, I think the car moves too fast or the track isn't wide enough at times. I would have loved a test circuit made of all road with lines marked in it so that I wouldn't get slowed by the grass but I could practice drifting. It would have been nice to have time trial versions where it's an infinite race with you trying to shave of milliseconds each lap, the races didn't give me enough time to get into the flow of it. Either way, I loved it and I want to see more like this without the Game Boy theming!

i love top-down racers, and it’s great to see one in the jam. also, i have never raced around a hamburger before!

Music is really cool ! Hard to achieve a drift, but satisfying.
