Everything but some sound effects and the drip skin were made by me.

What I liked:

  • Visually it is super polished. The character models, sound effects, and map all look amazing
  • The character is responsive to move around with and attack are quick and feel satisfying
  • Adding a combo system was a nice touch and kinda reminds me of dmc or something

What I thought could be improved:

  • The camera controls were pretty wonky
  • The on screen effects when I was being hit made it hard to see the game
  • I didn't really get the stealth aspect of the game, seemed like I had no choice but to fight
Developer

Thanks for your feedback

Some apparent bugs:

  • settings doesn’t work on 4:3 screen
  • no “interact” button to be found on controller
  • camera gets stuck in ceiling lights
  • enemies don’t seem to be taking hits (or if they are, the feedback is lacking)

Things I would do different:

  • screen flicker/flash when taking damage is annoying/to much
  • make the goal/gameplay loop a bit more clear, seems to have both combat and stealth mechanics but unclear what the expected balance is here.
  • from the screenshots, there appears to be a way to stealth, but gameplay didn’t tell me this, nor did pressing all the buttons on my controller seem to put me in stealth

Things I like:

  • good use of lighting and reflections
  • good animations
  • the CRT scan effect is well done [would be nice to be able to disable]

Now that's a proper review

Glow effect, particle and slow time effect are very cool. Good feelings ! Maybe it's hard to get out of ennemies attack when everyone hit you.

You can press Shift, Circle, A (Switch) or B (Xbox) buttons to dash out of them.

I really like the direction you wanted to go with the visuals. All of the animations felt really cool and sound was well done!

Fun entry!

Liked the presentation, the game was good to look at. The thing I noticed the most was the controls; at first I played with my controller, until I realized I couldn't interact with the first door on controller. Next I figured out what key was the interact key, and kept playing on keyboard. The mouse sensivity is high and wild, and the inverted camera was trippy. But overall, it's a good submission.

Honestly this is really incredible work. The animations, sound and atmosphere are probably the best I've seen so far and its superrrr juicy. Its just a shame the controls are kind of unwieldy. I had a hard time maneuvering my character to look at the things I was attacking as the mouse control is pretty wild.

Game is amazing, I would definitely look forward to an update if the controls can get fixed up a bit!

Developer

It takes a while to get hang of the controls, but thanks for your feedback!

The graphics effects are excellent! Good job on thispart!

Unfortunately, I could not play because the camera mouse control are inverted (at least, compared to most common games), and there is no option to invert the camera.

Yes, I agree that the mouse controls are terrible. I unfortunately couldn't find on how to access Input Action processors, especially in the last hours before the jam ended. However, the game still should be playable even with the terrible mouse controls, even though it was made with controller in mind. Thanks for your feedback anyways!
