I'm not exactly a big fan of match three games, but this was pretty fun! I do like the responsiveness of the controls and the effects, but I think that there should at least be an epilepsy warning with this game. Also for the sake of gameplay, I think an undo button would be really good as I'd often get into a situation where I see there's a better move but I've already selected a gummy so I can't go back on my decision.  I'd also shorten down the amount of time for the game over screen as it was faster to close the game and reopen than wait for it to time out. Overall pretty good, and I enjoyed the music, do you have a link to it anywhere? Here's my highest score as of now.

there's already an undo button: right-click on a swap. thanks for playing and commenting!

Oh ok! Sorry about that then!

one of those "i'm extremely not the target audience" type of games, so I won't comment on my enjoyment of it :) there's an argument that having a cute aesthetic with difficult gameplay is somehow incongruous but also i think it's a bad argument.  Personally it would've been cool to see more juice with the jellies squashing and stretching as they fall down into place, maybe bouncing off the ones beneath them (who themselves react by jiggling?). Obviously in a jam there isn't always time for that, though. This clearly gets its hooks in to the right player for it, I could easily see this developed further and be pretty successful commercially. Congrats on an awesome entry!

Yup, I have to agree with this comment, if developed further it could work for a certain audience...

Developer(+1)

thank you for believing in the concept despite not being in the target audience!

I dont think I need to say more

Developer

thank you for investing so much time and effort into my game! it really warms my heart.

This is some unique take on this classic game, it plays and feels really good. For me, the visuals are a bit too extreme since everything is wiggling and shaking around.

Developer

thanks for your honesty!

Submitted(+1)

Wow, the idea is really cool! You can really spend at lot of time optimizing your moves :)

Developer

yep, the game actually has plenty of depth!

I really liked the puzzle-solving aspect of having to figure out how the links would change when they fell, but I found the music a bit repetitive. Other than that the style was great and it felt really satisfying to play overall! Great work!

Developer

glad you liked!

Very nice game, it's a really fun puzzle game. The face animations were moving really fast for me so it wasn't easy on the eyes when trying to focus ^^

Developer(+1)

maybe i should make animation speed an option?

Submitted(+1)

Normally this is done by adjusting the animation time by the frame time so it looks the same for every hardware like suggested on the discord.

Pretty hard to do some high combos. I enjoyed some games ^^

Developer

very good!

Developer(+1)

yay!!

Really fun to play. In my opinion the difficulty ramps up a little fast, consider giving the player a round or two to get with the mechanics before hearts start being deducted. For quality of life, please make it so that we can deselect pieces before we've clicked the swap target.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

you can deselect pieces by right-clicking, i forgot to mention that on the game page.

Love the jiggly cute esthetic and the spin on the classic match 3 game, There was a little bit of a learning curve for me to realise how the game was played. It would have been nice to see the game reload after you died, instead of just seing game over and lots of lines, love the subtracting hearts mecanic, overall, great game !

Developer

thank you! glad you got past the learning curve.

I'm a fan. Pulling off a successful combo feels great, everything is snappy and tactile and the hearts mechanic is really well thought out! I do find the game over screen a bit out of place with how silent everything gets haha. Great entry!

Developer(+1)

thank you! yeah combos are satisfying (my record is 10)
