I think its a very interesting setup you have created! If I could make a recommendation, the ability to click to complete a sentence of dialog would be great! That way players (like me) can read at their own pace.

Really Cool! Interesting concept! Game is exceedingly difficult. We did get better as we played more and more, so maybe an actual tutorial level would help alleviate the early part of the learning curve! Which- you know. It's a game jam. That is not always possible! This was a fantastic submission though and we hope you expand the concept into something more!
This is Juice. Please make more.
Small Critiques:
- Make player stop quicker that way we have more control and it will make it feel less slippery without sacrificing speed
- Make climbing easier by just checking if the spacebar is held down
- Give sword on ground a bigger hitbox so its easier to pick up
- Make it possible to pick up swords while sliding
Those last 2 will help make the sword throwing feel more worth it. This game absolutely kicks ass. Great work!
Very beautiful game with great presentation! The eel felt great to control and it fit the theme as well! Our biggest gripe is that there wasn't much of a goal to the game. Adding a timer that ticks up or a score would add a bit but It honestly felt so good just floating around. Also, more spawns (enemies and powerups) would have been nice. It felt pretty aimless otherwise. Don't let this criticism discourage you though! This project has been our favorite so far to play! Amazing work!
We really enjoyed the concept of the game! The execution could use some work but hey- It's a game jam. No one has enough time. The move to shoot mechanic was fun, but lead to some situations where you get stuck in a narrow hallway against an enemy and can't shoot them because they corner you. Some suggestions to play with:
- Increase Player Movement Speed
- Lower Health of Enemies and increase number of them per room
- Increase bullet travel speed for Player's bullets
- Display Clip size to player
Overall we really like it and think you could work on it more and potentially have a release candidate!
The visual style was clear and visually pleasing! And We really enjoyed the feel of moving the ball. However, there was a disconnect between the movement mechanics and the level design. The levels were designed for precise platforming while the movement felt more like a Sonic game. I would lean into the faster paced movement with more forgiving platforming. Music was nice but some audio feedback on jumping would help a lot! Overall, a fun game that feels confused on what it wants to be. Also launching the game with a VR headset plugged in completely confused the game! Just something to be aware of! Overall good job!
The presentation is amazing. The visuals and audio are very beautiful and satisfying! The major area it lacks is the tutorial. We spent a good amount of time trying to figure out how to play (even after reading the tutorial). Pretty forgiving considering it's a Game Jam product! But an actual tutorial level could go a long way if you choose to continue working on it!
We really like the concept but the execution felt lacking in a few areas. Some extra polishing time could go a long way and giving the player more feedback would help! (i.e. Zombies reacting to being shot and/or not just disappearing when dying) That's obviously not always possible with a Game Jam so its pretty forgivable! Some bug cleanup and some other polish would improve this a lot! You seem very capable though and we think with more time this could be really cool! :)
