amazing man
made sure to give a rating!
can you check out my game to?
Thanks for playing and rating! I'll check out your game!
Haha, nice little prototype for a "memorize the level then go for it" style mechanic. I liked it, it was pretty tough, but I think I did OK. Thank you for sharing!
And if you get a chance to check out my game Foxy Boom Boxy, I would love any feedback, thanks!
Thank you for playing and rating! I think I made the game too tough, seeing all the feedback about the high difficulty. It's a good lesson for me on how important player feedback is. :) I'll be happy to check out your game!
Really enjoyed the music and the gameplay was challenging and fun, like the lighting effects too, kinda similiar to what we done with our submission, if you have time we'd love to see if you can beat our game! :)
Thanks for playing and rating! Thank you for mentioning the music - I'm a musician that's why I'm especially happy to see that you enjoyed the music! :) I'll be happy to try to beat your game!
good job! I'd remove the timer. it just generates anxiety.
Thanks for playing and rating! I think I'd make the timer optional, letting the player explore/learn the level without the pressure and take on the challenge of the timer when the player feels ready for it.
The presentation gives a sense of urgency.
However, the player can't actively engage with the system aside from waiting, in a game where waiting is ill-advised.
Thanks for playing and rating! I tried to force players to move in the dark (taking "leaps of faith") with the countdown so they wouldn't stand around waiting too much, but I made the levels way too hard for that. In an new version I would give them a chance to learn the level before trying to beat the countdown. :)
This is a truly enjoyable game, but it does feel quite challenging, especially from the start. Perhaps consider implementing an easier introductory phase and gradually ramping up the difficulty over time. Additionally, expanding the area of the light effects could enhance the gameplay experience. Your game boasts an impressive UI and main menu, and it's evident that there's a lot of potential here. Well done!
Thank you for playing it again! After all the feedback I got I would make the whole game easier. While I was developing it I really thought it wouldn't be challenging enough (lol) and so I made the area of light smaller and the countdown extremely tight and things like that. xD Now I know that I've made it way too hard. :D
Oh, I guess the idea is about learning the level and finishing them. Probably the only major drawback here is that it is not immediately understandable whether you control the switch or it is controlled by the game.
You're right, I should have made it clear that the switch is controlled by the game/time. Yes, the idea is about learning the level - that's why I included the level select so everyone can just jump back in the level they want to explore. I think I would make the countdown optional if I'd do another version of this game, so people can explore in their own time and activate the countdown when they're ready for the challenge. :) Thank you for playing and rating!
Very difficult game. I had to make some blind jumps to complete some of the levels. I would suggest that you remove the timer since it is very strict, and possibly add some light sources so that the player knows where they are going.
Thanks for playing and the suggestions! I agree, removing the timer (so the levels could be explored in the player's own time) and adding some light sources (there are some spots where it's hard to see where to go next) would improve the experience. I made it a bit too hard. xD
Thanks for playing and rating! I'll be happy to try and rate your game!
Feels arbitrarily a bit too difficult. I thought the light on/off was clever, but it happened so fast and the time per level was so short I kinda just tried running and jumping randomly hoping I got to the exit (I got to 1!).
It's meant to be hard but I think I made it too hard. :) Thanks for playing and rating!
