Very nice game! I love the graphics and the on/off machine is quite simple but the controls sometimes don't respond though I hope you'll work on it after the jam cause it's not bad at all

Character movement feels stiff, and the level design could use some work (game was lagging at level 3), but the game is solid otherwise.

read the description??? i stated issues in there

The sprite work is marvellous.

However, as someone else might have pointed out, the level design need work. I often come across platforms I simply lack the jump height to access. If I can somehow gain more height by using the machanics, then the game need to tutorialize itself better.

The ON/OFF mechanic does has back and forth, but they aren't as involved as I hoped to be

Lumina Shift is an awesome title, and I loved the aesthetic of the game! Really nice take on the "switch platforms on and off" mechanic. Some of the controls could be tightened up, but really nice overall! Hope it does well in the jam!

And if you get a chance to check out my game Foxy Boom Boxy, I would love any feedback, thanks!

This game really evoked nostalgic vibes from the old Sonic games. I'm fond of the art style, although the mechanics could use some refinement to ensure smoother gameplay for the player. Additionally, I'm curious to see more utilization of the on-and-off mechanics throughout the game. Overall, you've done a good job!

Developer

thanks! ((also did you already comment?))

Nice one.
Liked the mechanics, though I'd wish for more on/off gimmicks than just basic platform on/off.
Also I got stuck on one pit that I couldn't get up from in any way in was it 3rd or 4th level.
Well done platformer with good feel of controls.

the recovery jump is useful for stuff like that, maybe i should list controls towards the top of the page

The most unique aspect of this entry is the movement, there is a sense of momentum reminiscent of Sonic which I found particularly enjoyable. However, the level design felt lackluster in comparison, there were barely any obstacles trying to stop the player and there were almost no room that made use of that feeling of momentum. Still, I found this entry particularly unique and entertaining.

Hey i was going for the sonic feel! maybe one day i should redo this game leaning more to sonic lol

labyrinth zone go brr

Neat idea! I love the art and music. You run REALLY slowly though, which makes it weirdly hard.

Developer

thank you, but thats why the drop spin is a thing, you go super fast with it! try it!

Fun mechanic, but I'd definitely put jump as 'space' (so it's not so cumbersome to swap polarity and jump, which you have to do often). Not bad for a first attempt, good work!

thanks!
