I made a playthrough video of your game.
This game has excellent tutorialization all the way through while introducing new mechanics and enemies. The mechanics themselves are explored thoroughly by using previous mechanics with increasing complexity, although the limited screen real estate reigns in the chaos. Every set piece has something unique to offer and I was engaged the whole way through.
Then the boss happened.
The UI change to just the health of the boss and myself. The boss has four phases and has I-frames, making this into some sort of SNK boss fight. The limited size of the battle means I can reasonably memorise all four phases and formulate a winning strategy. It worked, but I have to acquire a deeper understanding of how the tools work and the boss and its minions' movement patterns by repeatedly losing. By perfecting the first 3 phases. I got 10 health left on that boss. 10/10 boss and 10/10 game.
I love the gradual learning curve, the levels feel fair while still being exciting to play and creating a tense survival atmosphere. Great use of such a small grid and on/off mechanics, lovely art. Actually, I'm gonna go play it some more now. Thank you for sharing!
Great game! Difficulty was balanced (though the boss took me a while to beat), but it was an enjoyable game overall.
Wow! Great game and idea is great! More puzzles and you can release this!
It has really good audio
The levels are sooo good, i really have fun with this game, i think this game can be a winner. Great job!
Hey Santiago, this is a slick little game, really nicely made! It feels great to flip the switches, shift left and right, time your firing, and it all works beautifully for the theme! Nice job, good mechanic.
And if you haven't had a chance to check out my game Foxy Boom Boxy, I would love any feedback, thanks!
Very clever use use of the levels had a fun time playing it.
Nice!! i enjoyed playing this unique game, congrats
Nice simple but challenging game, only gripe was the a bit cacophonic music like there were 2 musics playing on top of eachoter.
Otherwise quite enjoyable game.
Well done.
Really well made game, the operation complete looks so satisfying, and I love how you sort of mixed puzzle game and a boss fight, but I think that you should have made enemies a bit easier to kill, or give them a health bar, it feels so amazing to shoot and kill them, but it can be a bit tedious to shoot each enemy like 5-6 times, without knowing will it die, I don’t even know how many health they had, but you spend as much time to kill a single enemy as you are killing a boss
Great game! Got the boss down to 10 HP four times, but couldn't beat it in the end. I've loved grid based fighters like this ever since I got Megaman Battle Network as a kid, so this was a nice treat.
My feedback would be that the boss battle was a lot of fun to learn the patterns and try and have good enough reactions to win. In that case, every time I landed a shot, it felt like I worked for it and it was very satisfying.
But the levels against normal enemies were more like puzzles, which is fun too, but since it's not a "battle" in the same sense, I don't think they need to have as much HP as they did. In other words, shooting the enemy that just moves back and forth seven times is more tedious than satisfying.
So for a future release, I think low HP for the puzzle levels, and then the boss battle was so much fun, I'd love if there were more levels which are just fights like that. Anyway, great entry. Had lots of fun playing and will definitely be back to try and knock the last 10 HP from the boss.
Whoa, this was super fun! The graphics were very charming and the colors were nice! I'm not sure if it was intentional, but in the later levels, most of the time, I didn't know which switch corresponded to which items. I was just shooting at the switches randomly and hoping that one of them set off the piece I needed. It wasn't so confusing that I felt it hurt my experience, and I could understand if this was a deliberate design choice. In the case that it wasn't, or you plan on adding more types of switches and items in the future, I think having the switches have a differing pattern that corresponded to the item they're linked to would go a long way in communicating what they did. Other than that, the game was the right amount of difficult and I beat the boss by the skin of my teeth! Nice game!
Really enjoyed this, the difficulty was perfect, wasn't too easy, wasn't too hard. A shooter / strategy / puzzle type feel to it. The UI and atmosphere matched with the gameplay perfect, I kind of agree with another poster in the comments, maybe more than 3 lanes (could possibly be later on in the game) would be beneficial! Overall well done!
Somethings aren't as readable, probably due to the CRT filter. I think the music was auto generated with WolframTones, which isn't that good. With the time frame it makes sense to use it if you ave little experience, but overall it's not the best I highly recommend you learn more about how to make simple music, since having a basic pad can do a lot to add to a scene without knowing much about music.
The game itself is fun with all of the new mechanics. I would recommend that it's a great base with a lot of content, but fully replace the music and refine some of the graphics more and you have something really great.

Good retro atmosphere and the red and blue color combination looks great. The first level is easy, but after that the game reaches its full potential when the puzzle elements are thrown in. I like it and enjoyed playing.
Great colour palette, it's great that you've kept that running all of the way through, even on the itch page itself!
The UI was immersive, in that it didn't distract or take me out of the game, but was still visible (health wise).
Very unique idea! The art was charming and it kept me interested the whole time I played it, which shows it is fun. Overall, great job!
