Just realized I forgot to review this! Sorry about that!
Overall, I thought the core concept of the game was solid, and it was very enjoyable. Difficulty felt pretty fair, controls were intuitive, and the red borders to indicate the edge of the map were nice!
Improvements I think the game could use are:
- The visuals are really high fidelity, but mostly small scale, which makes "reading" objects a bit tough/strange.
- I think the movement/game should be faster paced, or the game should at least give the illusion of moving more quickly
- The "Transformer" boss was cool, but I feel that some indicator of where it will move/dash to is necessary, as dodging it felt impossible
Once again, fun game and great job! I didn't have any issues launching/playing the game like others have, and I'm using OperaGX :)
That was fun! I like the atmosphere between the visuals and music. Cool! Some nice bits of polish, particularly the SFX I thought.
Had the same issue w/ Firefox, Chrome worked the second time I loaded it.
I think the biggest thing for me was it was hard to tell that your ship was moving since the background mostly looked the same, I could see some faint "clouds" if I looked closely. But it made the game feel a lot more static than I felt like it should.
Can't seem to play this. I just get a black screen after it prompts me to press any button to start. Could be a browser issue? I use firefox.
There is a logo video that might need to download, because of the browser playable version. Please try again, might be a cache issue
Tried it in a different browser and it worked! I'll leave my thought
Good job with this, the upgrade system is my favorite thing about this project. Upgrades come quickly and there is a lot of variety which is nice.
If I had to critique something it'd need to be the visuals and the movement. The background, foreground, player and enemies are very visually busy so it can be overwhelming visually. The movement felt really sluggish, some tweaking here could go a long way.
Nice job overall!
Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated!
It's a good start! Aiming works well but the movement didn't feel super satistying. Perhaps you can put a texture in the background that moves slowly as you move to make it feel more like you're moving?
Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated.
Visually the game is very noisy, every asset seem Ai generated with too much details for the scale of the game . Simplifying visuals by keeping only big details for ships over smaller ones would greatly help . The moment is very chunky atm hardly a chance to dodge anything. I like the level up system and there are lot of interesting upgrades to chose from( adding in auto skills will help with late game) , one suggestion would be changing how selecting a skill and getting back into the game works, lot of times I accidently select the middle skill. The games could also use visual and sound cues for different actions which will add into the game juice. I managed to get to level 14 and fight optimus prime but half way through the battle game froze something to look into. On my second try there wasn't any issue got till 20. Its core loop is fun but the games requires lot of polish.
Thanks for the feedback.
