I really found myself enjoying the simplicity here. I was sad the bug that makes no more clients or cats appear started on the third or fourth day and didn't fix itself the day after that. The good news is I wanted to keep playing if I  could have. Well done.

Thanks for your great feedback. I'm glad you had fun with it. The bug seems to be due to upgrading the opening hours. If you avoid this then you can play for a few more days. However I haven't gone past 8 myself so I don't know whats out there :)

I'll fix the bug when the ratings have finished.

Just after reading the title of the game, I was excited to try it. Cats are great! The cats in this game were fun and seeing them get the zoomies every once and a while was a treat.

I can see this game getting pretty chaotic (in a great way!) as one upgrades their space and stays open for longer. I think it would have been fun to be able to decorate the space prior to opening for the day too. It was fun to see the cats smack around the ever-present plant until it disappeared, so I'd love to be able to add more of those destructible objects. One the topic of destructible objects, sometimes I would miss when food, a bed, or litter disappeared. Maybe making that more obvious could add to the frantic-ness as the player progresses.

I did run into what I hope is a bug. I turned a massive profit on my third day and upgraded the wazoo out of everything. I then still had loads of cash left over to purchase plenty of items at the start of the fourth day. But no one showed up... I just jammed out to the cool music for 6 in-game hours before they evicted me for not being able to make rent. I suppose I've learned a valuable financial lesson, but after business booming the first 3 days, having nary a customer on the fourth was a game-ending bummer.

That said, I had fun with the little furballs for the first 3 days.

Glad you had fun! and yes climbing the clawporate ladder can lead to many valuable lessons, but that one is definitely a bug. Sorry about that  and thanks for letting me know. I'll try to fix it after the rating closes.

Thanks for all the other great feedback. I love the idea of more decorations in the cattery.

This is a nice little game. The game loop is really satisfying and makes you want to play 'just one more day'. The upgrades work well (although I think upgrading the food can sometimes be less cost efficiant?). I loved the plant that kept getting knocked over!

During the days there wasn't much to do though. I just placed a food item, a litter box and a bed (and later a toy) and put my cursor over the "accept"-button and clicked it every time a new cat came. When the food or litter box dissapeared I put in a new one.

Thanks for your great feedback. I agree with the not much to do during the day. I had some ideas about playing with the toys and interacting more with the cats but had to keep the scope simple so I didn't run out of time.

As a newish Cat dad, I really enjoyed this. Reminds me a bit of the Diner Dash games. (I wish I had good feedback to give but this isn't what I typically play, didn't want to not leave a comment though.)

Glad you had a go and enjoyed it. I hadn't heard of Diner Dash before but after playing it I can see what you mean. My other idea for the trinity of eating, sleeping and pooping was going to be based around babies in an old fashioned hospital nursery. but I couldn't think of a good mechanic for that idea until I was halfway through kitty keeper. By then I was committed :)

I really like this game! Well done! I made it to day six before I had to get off. This is a game I want to just have around for rainy days. Polish is great, music and sound effects fit perfectly. I don't have any comments. It's just lovely.

This was a long game jam so I spent six weeks of weeknights working with it and many of the weekends had some time spent on it.  The sounds were done by my brother and he spent, about 10 - 12 hours for the sound side of things. All of the background music  tracks were created for this game.

Since there was 2 of us this was the first time I set up a GitHub repository and used it in anger.

All the graphics are not made by me with credits given within the game's description. Speaking of description ... as an exercise I created a  document with the mechanical  description of how to play the game (think board game how to play type instructions) Gave it to co-pilot and asked it to produce a description of the game for marketing purposes. What it produce made the game sound  like the game I wished it was. So I used it word for word however if I did this for a commercial  game, I would most definitely edit it. The puns along are too much hahaha.

hope you enjoy playing
