The concept looks good. But the experience is hurt by the many reload I have to do.
But if I make abstraction of it :
Controls are not so complicated (once you have the explanation). Perhaps adding a white "viewfinder target" under your mouse will help to understand, and some simple text on your background.
The first levels are very useful to teach your rules. In your case I think :
Level1: your characters and the goal to achieve (no platform yet)
Level2: your characters and coloured walls to teach white goes through black wall but collide on white (and vice versa).
Level3: Add some grey wall
etc...
I also think you can add dynamism by letting player correct a wrong trajectory on the fly.
I didn't understand why we must found the triangle with the same rotation, and not just an exit of the same colour, but perhaps I didn't see enough of the game.
ALWAYS add at least some jump/fail/success sound and a background music.
Other than that I like your aesthetic, and I think the idea is good. There is a potential. I didn't play a lot of physics game is this jam, this is a good point.
Hope it helps.
Though nice work. Keep it up !
yeah adding visuals to let you know which player you were controlling was on my list, I just didn't have enough time to implement it like with many things. Now seeing criticism and watching my friend attempt to play through it I know this game would fare much better with less precise, more puzzle / problem solving type platforming. The reason you have to find a triangle with the same rotation and opposite colour is because it was the triangle listed inside the bodies of both circles, (you would have to get each to their own goal) and the different colour because you cant phase through objects of your own colour, only the opposite. Though I agree that it may be a little too complicated.
thank you for the criticism!
Very good looking game, good choice of color as well. It makes for great looking universe !
Now I couldn't figure out the controls, not after a while. Even with the description I still couldn't say what's happening. It's a shame because the concept is interesting and I'd really like to see more of it.
thank you, yeah as I said elsewhere in the comments, I should have made a proper tutorial instead of the level I did make. It would have made the experience a whole lot better as the players would have actually known what to do!
The game and the concept is good, you have to work on your controls more and yep one more thing that plz make sure that you always put a tutorial at the start of the game because most of the lazy people like me not like to read documentation a lot, btw very good that you submitted.
Kindly check my game also and give you honest opinion on that.
Bye
thanks for the reply, yeah I took a little too long to make the game and didn't have enough time to finish a lot of stuff for it, hence why I don't have an angry birds style launch trajectory indicator, as well as the fact that you have to close the game upon falling through the floor. (I actually did make working spikes, I just didn't notice I hadn't added them to the level until like 10 minutes before submission lmao)
But yeah your right, it would have been a good idea to make a tutorial level for the game even if I couldn't make an actual level like I did cause it'd probably give people a better experience regardless.
thanks for the criticism!
The game it's pretty hard to control, and to understand, without reading the description
Also, with the white player you can fall off the world
I still had fun with it tho :3
thanks for the reply, yeah I actually did make spikes to line the pits, I just forgot I didn't have them added to the level lmao.
Pretty cool game! On fullscreen the mouse does not show, which can be annoying, but overall good job!
Weird, it shows for me, and it showed for my friend as well when he streamed himself playing it. Are you running the game on Windows 10?
Ya, idk why it does that for me. Oh well
I have instructions on how to play on the game page in case your confused :)
