How have you used the theme "Strength Lies in Differences" in your game?
The strength lies in differences theme is incorporated into the game in the form of different perspectives, as you solve puzzles to guide the robot into the level gates, you use the different perspectives.

1 perspective may be all you need at a certain point, but at another time, another perspective will be better.

This game symbolizes the differences between different people working together to for the better. (IE: Helping a robot navigate a maze)

Really neat use of the theme! I think this game has a lot of potential for those satisfying "aha!" moments players get when they figure out a puzzle. I thought it was fun, a bit awkward at times trying to move the robot and the moving platform to get across but that's a minor issue that didn't stop me from wanting to play more :)

This was really good! I loved the perspective switching, the puzzles were great!

Only feedback for me was that the moving platforms required me to move with it, which was okay? just a little weird. (I think you got this feedback already though ;) )

I think this marks the first time when I died in a game in what I thought is the menu, and I enjoyed it! :) This is very creative, you really are on to something. It felt like the gameplay would be easy to learn but hard to master, which is always nice.

I'm guessing you had no time to add sound and music, which is understandable - although it's possible that it just didn't work for me.

Impressive work from a one man team, well done!

Yeah, I was planning to record some ambient noises for background music and sound FX but didn't get the time. Thank you for the comment and I'm glad you enjoyed the game. One thing I regret not doing is adding the ability for the player to follow the platform he was on. It would have made the game easier because I think this is the biggest difficulty for people playing it.

I really enjoyed this, start to finish. My only real criticism was the robot wouldn't move along with moving platforms so those bits were a little hard to control.

In terms of gameplay, one of my favourite entries in the jam. The concept was well implemented and the level design leant itself really well to using different perspectives so very well done on that front. While the textures sometimes played tricks with my eyes, that could be something you could build upon, somehow changing the players viewpoint based on the direction of textures. When I started the 3rd level I thought I had entered an Escher painting!

Great job!

Hi, I'm very happy to hear that you liked the game. I agree with you that I should have made the platforms move, if there was one thing I wish I had done before submitting is to add that feature in.

I was planning on adding one more level that would have played more on the textures, but I had a lot of university work to complete.

Also yeah, the whole concept of the game is having a limited perspective where the level would look one way, and not make much sense, and then once you gain a new perspective, the level starts to make sense, bit by bit. You can beat the entire game without relying on the extra perspectives, but that would be difficult and not fun.

Cool concept but need a bit more polishing. Some platforms with the same texture can be a bit confusing but I enjoyed playing it.

Developer

Thank you for commenting. Sadly I developed this project alone over a small time window because I had a lot of university work to do. I do hope you got some enjoyment playing it though. I agree that some of the areas could have been shown off a bit better.

It requires more polishing, but this game has a lot of potential. I believe that the idea of using different perspectives is a nice way to fit the theme in the game!

Hi, yes I agree, the game does have some flaws, this was my first game jam and I developed this alone over a small time window as I had university assignments to deal with. I hope you enjoyed the amount that you played. If I release an update in the future, it will definitely be to polish it.
