I think the adherence to the theme is a slight stretch, but the amount of polish you pulled off and the unique design of it really puts this as one of the best games in the jam for me, this definitely deserves more eyes on.

The game looks great and the idea of combining a text adventure (I wonder if this is what the genre was called) with a ball game is really fun.

I think a lot of players would definitely appreciate a replay button x)
A novel concept though ! The almost random probability could be spun in a way such that the player themselves are sort of drunk and have little control in what they say. Overall the build is very solid !

I've played some visual novels before so this was quite fun for me, I had a lot of Va11halla moments!

I would love to see this expanded as a full visual novel!

Great idea at a crossover between the dating sim and pinball-ish ball-drop games. Super high production quality too, and I didn't see any bugs. Great job!

The art looks nice, but when I checked your other games I saw that you just made another copy of them, which doesn't seem right for a game jam.  As for the theme of only once if you wanted to make so that you can "only once" go on a first date, you could at least put a reference in the game if it detected that a player with the same ip has already played the game once or use cookies.

I think it should do the ip/cookie thing internally (so you can play only once), but you're right that we should've communicated it better ingame 👍
And yeah, the base gameplay is the same - we've released our final PinkOball Tentacle Tower version just before the jam and all we could think of were balls :D But most gameplay elements (bumpers, dialogue etc.) were new.

I have to agree with this guy. It definitely goes against the spirit of the jam to reskin a previous game you released, even if you did add some new art and mechanics.
