I like the idea and it totally fits the theme, but I didn't understand how to actually find the real enemy.
You says he's a coward, so I suppose he tries to evade the mouse cursor. But even if sometimes I actually find an enemy who doesn't let himself be pointed at, there are other times where no one seem to care. I'm really confused.
Anyway, good job having done music, art and code all by yourself in 48 hours. That deserves credits.
First time I played I was just swinging around the blade and managed to spawn like a bunch and it froze the game. I only did that because I thought it was funny, second time I tried a bit harder to find the coward but jeez is it difficult to get him XD
It took me a bit to understand what I was doing and I am still a bit confused. I also wasn't quite sure how to hit the real enemy since when I thought I hit him nothing different happened. I think with a bit more time and feedback, though, this would be a really cool game!
First of all: Yes! That means I definitely did my job :)
Okay, I had a bit of trouble debugging that makes it impossible to get it by sheer luck, because that would confuse people. The real only one must be next to another enemy and that's why it's hard. Due to joining the jam late, I had difficulties with a bit of polish, which I'm sure would have helped. (The real enemy would have quicker animations, etc.)
Also, the tutorial was super weird to make and I wasn't quite sure how to tell people that the enemy was a coward, so I just shoved him behind someone else and pointed to him xD.
Thank you for the feedback! I can't change the game on this page because that's not in the jam rules, but I'll continue to work on the game and maybe even publish it elsewhere on itch.io.
I like the concept, but I was having a hard time getting it to work. Maybe make the enemies smaller and more spread out so that it's easier to tell which is the "real one," and to hit him and him alone. Also some in-game instructions would be excellent! Overall, very creative :)
Thank you for playing!
