Pretty good work. I like art and music. Speaking about disign and gameplay, it's superb. Wish you made a full game!
Thank you for your feedback I'm glad you liked it!
I'll make sure to post if we decide to make a full game.
This is _so_ well done, and I immediately understood what to do when the first spikes and monster appeared on the first level. Absolute triumph of show-don't-tell. Let me know when your iPad release is out, I'll buy it. ^^
Thank you I'm glad we were able to get the message across!
I'll make sure to post if we decide to make a full release.
Great frightening sound effects, well designed and thought-provoking game! One of the best ones from the jam.
Awesome game. Fun, elaborate, scary. A perfect balance. The best I've played so far! Must play!
Thanks Bdogfromthe212
my favorite game so far
I like it a lot, the art style is really concise and the puzzles really good, it's makes you memorize the map as you go.
That was fantastic. The scream was really chilling and the atmosphere is truly scary. I like the puzzle design in this game although I don't have a good memory. I am still stuck in one of the levels (I think it is level 5) but I will try again later. Overall, it was a great experience.
Awesome game!
The idea is simple but interesting enough!
The level design is quite impressive to me!
And the SE really did its job! I was scared!(in a good way...)
Fantastic! The first monster scared the hell out of me! I had a similar idea while planning for the jam, but this design is far better than what I had in mind.
Kept me on edge and forced me to think about where I was moving. Good design in the sense that the candle allows you to see, but also prevents the enemies from seeing.
Loved the monster design and the atmosphere. Very polished, well done!
Thank you so much! They were inspired by the redeads from Zelda. Scary bastards they are.
Really good design and original Idea. Great job!
Great entry! I love the ambience that this game invokes, it does a fantastic job of setting the mood. My favorite part is the exploration that is inherent with this take on the theme. You explore the map a little at a time, and what you've already discovered goes back to hidden, so you have to make a mental map of the area and consult it whenever you encounter a monster. It works really well.
Had some issues on the final level with enemy pathfinding. Sometimes if ther view was obstructed of me (it seemed like), then they'd stop pathfinding and just stand there blocking the path and I'd have to kill myself to restart.
Thank you for your comments! I'm really glad you liked it.
We fixed the pathfinding issue after the deadline, so we can't fix the main windows download but we added a link to a dropbox folder that has the fixed build for windows + mac + linux.
We're hoping the convenience of a direct download (versus dropbox) outweighs the issues people will have with pathfinding :b
The game is super scary and pretty at the same time. It catches the player like a fly in a spider web, loved it so much! Congratulations.
Thank you for the nice comment! I don't even know how to respond to that!
Great concept, Surprisingly scary music and sound effects, and a complete game. Not sure what else there is to ask for in a game like this. Good Job!
