How does your game fit the theme?
The player is thrown across an air hockey table. His movements aren't in his control, as they depend on how he will hit obstacles and bounce against the borders

I love the music. As much as I am into the chromatic aberration aesthetic, this is is a bit too far. I think the gameplay is a bit cryptic and confusing, but I stuck through with it and its pretty solid if you get past the hump at the beginning
Thank you for the feedback. It was my first time with post processing so I might have exaggerated a little, I'll reduce the chromatic aberration. Can you tell me something more about the hump at the beginning?
Sure. At the start, I don't really know what's happening. Looking at real world analogues, it doesn't make immediate sense that hitting other balls will move yours
Really fun idea to play as a puck on an air hockey table. I liked the escalation when you ran out of health, it added another level of entertainment to the game. Good job!
That was indeed my intention, thank you!
Hi, perhaps it was just me but unfortunately I couldn’t get it to work on my machine. I can hear some sounds in the background as I move my mouse, so probably that’s the menu screen?
Anyhow, here’s a screencap of what I’m seeing.
If you’re planning on updating it post jam, please do keep me posted. I’m looking forward to it, as everyone else seem to have liked it.
I'm really sorry about it, yes, I'm planning to update it post jam but I have no idea why it's broken. What you're seeing is the splash image, perhaps there's a problem with that.
Can you give me some info, like your RAM, CPU and resolution of your screen? Idon't know if that might help me fix it but let's give it a try.
I found a similar issue on a Unity Answers thread and it looks like their problem was that an antivirus was blocking the game, maybe it's the same reason for you
This is very possible because all these files are unsigned
This is a really fun, fast paced game. I like the air hockey theme! It fits the "out of control" theme very well, it didn't fell shoe-horned in at all, very good mechanics! I would have liked to have seen a bigger screen size, or at least a minimap, that could just be personal preference, but I'd like to see more of the screen and where I'm going. Overall really solid game entry! Great work!
I'd also really appreciate feedback on my game (If you want) https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2020/rate/695512
Thank you for the feedback. I considered a larger camera, but I didn't consider a minimap, that could be interesting.
Btw, it's late in my country, but I'll make sure to rate your game tomorrow
What a crazy game haha. Very original in putting the player into the puck of a traditional air hockey game. Great work on getting a leaderboard implemented too!
Thanks a lot <3
I didn´t get it a first, but after a few times it was pretty funny. It was an interesting approach for this classic game. I really enjoyed this game. Good job!
Thank you very much!
This game is a blast to play!
Perhaps a bit too chaotic since you can't really react fast enough since everything is so fast, still the game is great fun. I like that when you lost all your health it's not immediately Game Over but you have this frenzy state before that, makes it fell less frustrating.
The graphics are pretty nice ass well. Cool shader. I like the choice to put the chaos symbol on the pucks.
I enjoyed it. My highest score was 2440.
Thank you. It is indeed a little too chaotic. Also, thanks for giving me the word "puck". As a non-native speaker, I didn't know it :P
I like the idea! When I realized it was like the "ball" of an air hockey game, the way the game feels "clicked". The art was visually clear, and I quite liked some of the visual effects; in particular the "burning" effect once you're out of control. I didn't like the music as much?
The game felt a bit too fast to be able to tell what's going on, and there was not enough time to react to enemies suddenly appearing from the edge of the screen, though I guess this is part of what makes this game feel out of control. I liked the fact that you didn't lose as soon as you had no more HP, that's an interesting design choice.
Good job!
Thank you for the feedback. The music is something I wanna change, but anyway it can be muted. You're right about the feeling of "out of controlness" but actually that was an exaggeration of the theme, I'm going to give the player more possibilities and make the game feel more fair
I liked the game and the overall concept. I do think you may have gone slightly overboard with the post processing effects though. The audio also seems to play louder than other games, not really an issue but just something to watch out for. I don't think that you can really get good at the game as it's mainly based on luck rather than skill. Other than that though, it's a good game for 48 hours so well done, good job.
Hi. The fact that it's too luck-based is actually a bad design choice of mine and I'm looking to fix that post-jam. The audio can be lowered, i wrote that in the game page info, but perhaps it should be clear inside the game too, so maybe I'll add some settings. Regarding the post processing effect, I like them exaggerated like that, anyway I'll try to reduce them and see if I find a compromise. Thank you very much for all the feedback
It is actually really fun, I like how chaotic it is. It is more on luck than skills to get a high score therefore the replayability is lowered. My suggestion is to give the player a way to recover from mistakes.
Thank you for the feedback. You're right about what you say, the low focus on skill is definetely what needs to improve
I like the idea of a hockey can shoot the enemies. Really hard to know where you'll go next.
Very well polished - one thing i would add is a way to regain health
Thank you. Regaining health is already in my projects for this game ;)
Really really well made game. My high score was 2455. This game was fun to play, fit the theme very well as it was very chaotic. Only thing I might change is a way to increase your health somehow. Right now it feels as if there is essentially a ceiling to your score because you can't hit everything. Maybe more weapons or power ups could help make this a full-fledged game too. Great Job!
Edit: I played a bit more and my new high score was 3825!
I had this vision about a doomed game where you are destined to die soon and can do little to change it, and I didn't consider actually giving a chance to last more. Thank you, I'll very probably follow your suggestion
