Real nice art in this, really clean and satisfying. Great incorporation with the story too, add a lot.

Cool first jam game! I didn't expect much story in any of the games and was pleasantly surprised to see it in this one. For me two things really stood out: the polish and the art style. The art style is minimal yet it is perfectly enough at all times to understand what's going on and it's pleasing to the eye too. When i first noticed that I could break the windows with the shotgun and create exits for myself but at the same time create entrances for enemies, I was amazed that this feature was in a jam game. Also easily skipping the dialogue and story meant that I could retry hard parts faster. But I still think it would've been great to have checkpoints at the start of each part.

P.S. If you could check out my game that would be awesome!

Thank you so much! And yeah lol the skipping story parts does end up kinda useful if you’re replaying (after you die or something). I’ll definitely check out your game sometime today! :)

The art is nice but the game definitely can have a better control. Or maybe make the monsters move slower, I can't out run them and make a proper shot. Anyway, congratulation for your first game jam. You really did a good job there :)

I love the narrative and the graphics, some of the feedback is a little stiff but all in all really cool. well done!

I really dig the artstyle - good job! However, it's possible to enter the cellar without talking to grandpa and getting the key. Which is even more confusing because picking up the gun triggers the next story bit, so grandpa might die without you ever talking to him again. :( And yes, the defense part is a bit out of control (haha). But given how short the game is, I was perfectly fine with trying a few times.

Thank you for trying out my game! Yeah, I definitely should've made the player have to talk to grandfather first. It was on my to do list but got pushed back by other things I wanted to fix :p And haha yep I kinda got used to the difficulty and movement by the end of the jam and didn't realize the defense part might be harder to others until my friend played after I submitted. Again though, thank you for the feedback! :)
