I really enjoyed this game. I think having some frame of reference would be helpful for knwoing how fast you're really going, but I enjoyed learning the control and using my momentum to turn around and shoot at the enemies while still going away from them.

It feels like there's something interesting here. If the controls were better and the AI was smarter (so it felt like you were constantly losing control of control points) I think this could be really fun. I'm not a fan of so many games interpreting the jam's theme to mean making controlling things harder, because I feel like we end up with a lot of games that are really interesting and unique, but just not super fun to play.

One thing that could make this game better while still keeping the same feeling is making it so that when I accelerate by tapping a key, it doesn't automatically accelerate to ~30. Maybe there were other engine modes, but I couldn't figure out how those worked. If the acceleration were more controllable, it would still feel a bit out of control, but it would feel like the lack of gravity of space, rather than just unresponsive controls.

Really challenging

Man, you have put a lot of effort on this game, it's really interesting. It took me a while to get how to move and I think it could be a lot of fun with more responsive, accurate controls (f*ck the jam's theme, make the navigation smothier!) lmao. Well done with the voice acting, great job.

I love the visual aesthetic!

However, the game is way too easy once you realise there's absolutely no penalty to holding down ctrl + alt and non-stop firing your weapons. The controls are tricky, it took me a while to realise "engine setting" is basically your target speed, and you didn't need to hold W to go forward.

On startup, the audio is a bit overwhelming. The static is also a tad too heavy in the voice. That being said, I love the voice over!

Well done - I still enjoyed the end product!

I managed to finish it with the awful ship control! I know it's intended, but the enemy AI is too stupid to recapture the beacons. So kinda loses the point of getting out-of-control of the sector, besides out of control of the ship. But nice game nonetheless!

While I used SOME preexisting art and sounds, I created a bunch myself! All-Original voiceovers! Yeah!
