Really slick game!! Well done. The controls feel good and the graphics + sfx are an amazing fit.

Only thing that disturbed me was the console launch delay, I'd make the levels a bit longer but the console launch faster to it relies more on skill and doesn't make you lose instantly when enemies get close and the console pops.

Thank you for playing the game and for the feedback! As part of the development, we tried to have bigger levels, but these became very hard and extremely frustrating so we ended up scrapping them. For the gameguy intro, I found that it was a small and funny detail, but as always in Game jams, tuning is very hard to get right, so thanks for the feedback! ^^

Yeah great job! That's game jam games afterall...

Really cool game with nice sound and graphics. I like the switching between the two game. Only thing i found was the gun would shoot kinda above where i was aiming

Developer(+1)

Hmm that sounds weird. I'll look into it ^^ thanks for the feedback!

Developer

I’m proud of you too bb

Fun, really well presented, great match with the theme. I found it a bit punitive that I could kill myself so quickly with my own gun :'(

Developer

I’ll have to change my testing-mindset for future jams.

It seems obvious right now why it was a bad idea, but at the time it seemed like a good idea, to stop you from spamming. We forgot that you’d most likely figure out you could damage yourself when trying to protect the jam - which would most likely kill you at that point.

Thank you for your feedback, super valuable.

Really nice microgames; I really like the larger story element to help give it some context. Good job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you :D

Love the backstory too. It’s just the right amount of strange.

Definitely :) We'd love your feedback on our game as well, if you haven't already. SpaceBus

Solid warioware stuff. I like it. Just add more mini games and You have the next wario entry;) kinda;p

I loved its presentation! As well the use of the theme! I just got a little sad when my bullets made me lose. Overall, congratulations, its a very good game!

Its a really well done control swap game! The art is also effective, especially love the cute sFX!

There's a difficulty spike when it bumps up to a bigger sized version of the level though. Managed to get through it but the puzzles somehow reverted back to the simpler versions for a while before I died to a more difficult puzzle.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! So basically there's a giant pool of levels, and when you get to a certain point, harder levels are added to the pool, making it possible to get the easy levels far out in the game ^^

This is the first game that involves swapping controls that I can actually play decently, other times I keep getting confused and mess up, although the few times I lose is because I accidentally killed the can myself :). Really love your art style, and your core gameplay loop is surprisingly engaging. Well done!

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you! Super happy with the artstyle myself.

We also worked really hard to make it apparent what the controls were - by making the buttons get pushed down, making the text flash before changing, sound cues at every movement, and keeping punishment for messing up low.

I’m happy it worked well!

This game reminds me one the game in warioware where you have to play while your mom is watching. Love it!

Developer(+1)

That game might have been a subconscious inspiration - I Love that game :D

Nice mix of two concepts. Animation of  can mug dude on the table is great too! Also, +1 for GameGuy :D

Developer(+1)

Little table guy is meant to be jam - inspired by Jammy, the mascot of Mini Jam. Every time you lose, a game jam is ruined.

Submitted(+1)

That's even funnier :)

Everything about this game seems really good! The feedback you get when shooting is great, and the mixed controls on the gamepad is a cool concept!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! My ego likes this comment.

Putting an 'I forgot my controls' game in the middle of a top down shooter was so clever! Thanks for slowing down time when we pulled out the Gameboy.

Developer(+2)

Ehem, you mean gameGUY.

Nintendo lawyers have completely surrounded my house. I don’t know if I’ll make it out alive. I’m scared.

Great shooting mechanic, and the minigame twist adds a sense of urgency/time pressure in a good way. Overall pretty snappy and solid for 48 hours, well done

Developer

Thank you! The feeling of urgency was exactly what we were going for!
