How does your game fit the theme?
You can not move fowards or backwards, only when you press Ctrl. After a few times of pressing Ctrl you lose that ability, which leaves you completely out of control.

Well it was a rather simple runner but not too shabby none the less. You have definitely implemented the theme in here. It could be a little better but as it's stands it's rather nice. Not bad man :)

I do enjoy the runner aspect of the game, heck I even got 65418 as a highscore, I do think based on the theme it does not show it that well but I still enjoyed the game a lot regardless the theme! If it was polished more and had a few things added it would make this game really fun!

It's a fun little endless 'runner' along the lines of temple run, etc. I think your implementation of the theme could have been elaborated on a bit more, for example by dropping pickups that give you one extra ctrl-button usage, because right now you can only use 3 and then it's over (and the theme is no longer relevant.) I did get a little dizzy tho, maybe because of the floor texture, lol. Anyway, good job on making a game for this jam, even with the little time that you had!

Thank you for playing :D I had the idea of getting collectables like you mentioned from the beginning but due to the lack of time I had to scrap that idea (Implementing + Search for Art etc. Would have easily taken more than 24 mins.). And after 3 Controls you run completely out of control. So in a bit it is the theme but ofc I could have done better there. I had some concerns about the floor texture but again lack of time. Thank you for the feedback. Expect me to review your game soon!

You can play this game without ever needing to move forwards or backwards, and why would you? You've placed the player in a position where it's easiest for them to avoid any obstacles, meaning the Ctrl key is kinda useless. The game is alright but it could use more feedback and overall polish.

Developer

What was your High score? Ofc at the start you won't need the control key. But after you hit a speed lvl of 20 (Not visible for the Player. I can look what score is what speed) or more I doubt you wouldn't use it.

Developer

but don't take me wrong. I truly believe the game needs a lot more polish and feedback! The only one playing before the upload was me so that was a bit hard.

Yeah, and I fully get that. We made our game far too hard too because we were the only playtesters, and we kept making it harder as we got better. What I was suggesting was that you should maybe try adding some events that would be more convenient for the player to move forward or backward like pedestrians crossing the road. While they still would be avoidable moving left and right, it'd be much more convenient for the player to try moving forward or backward to avoid them.

Simple and easy arcade game, worked fine despite the 3D. There’re no SFX or musics, so It’s a little confusing. Good job !

Developer

thanks for playing :D Expect a review on your game soon! Sound would have been made with a bit more time.
