Really well made game! very simple concept, could even be considered an educational game (in that it teaches fast typing) but very fun and fits the theme perfectly! it really put my touch typing to the test! great job and i love the onscreen keyboard/typing commands to navigate instead of using buttons! very unique!

This game was a bunch of hectic fun! The end was incredibly tense, but I managed to beat it. Solid concept, clear execution, good job!

Damn that was stressful, but I won! At first, I thought without a timer on the current command, the game might be too easy but boy was I wrong. It's pretty challenging, and I never even got an out of control virus. It would be could and subtle if you checked what the next required input for the command was with your individual viruses, and if they are close to the key that corresponds they latch to it, because then it makes you more prone to making mistakes since you usually erase the whole string of identical letters in your command after having gotten rid of the virus. Great work!

The game fit perfectly to the theme ! The situation is going fast out of control, even if we’re a good typer. The game is simple, good and responsive, everything we expect from a game jam ! Good job.

Even though I’m a super slow typer, I managed to have fun so I think you made a great game. Good job ^^

Cool concept, the sound design was pretty great too. I just wish the gameplay was a bit harder. Leaving that aside, the gameplay was really fun.

Cool game, Like that I have to juggle between type the answer, kill the virus and spam the backspace.

virus feel not so dangerous (I feel like I can ignore virus and continue typing the answer for some time and still kill it before infected) but fun anyway.

Virus that can infect other key(like Enter?) would be interesting. (or maybe Alt and F4 and trick player to press it at the same time lol).

I will seriously think about it hahaha

Very interesting game play. quite fun! I liked typing as the core mechanic. Navigating the menu was fun, if you make it an objective to find a file by navigating through a directory and then that runs the simulation. Finding files with hidden information that gives you a kind of ability you could use later as some additional defense could be interesting.

Developer

Good idea! I will consider for a future upgrade =)

So awesome concept, and definitely DEFINITELY got out of control.   My biggest complaint was the backspacing.   Sometimes it would take forever and the multiple keypresses so frantically felt very abusive to my keyboard (I know that's on me but it's also part of the emotional state you are striving for).   Some form of system change there, either allowing a single keypress that speeds up or a clear row option.   Also I think linking virus generation to typing speed will help account for various skill sets.   Then implementation of the viruses felt perfect, including the timing and number of strokes to kill.   Awesome work :D

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Maybe a counter that goes down when you press a letter or enter could be a good solution for  spawning time. The backspacing was intentional, but maybe I could put 2 difficulties (normal and hard) and in the normal you can hold keys for multiple inputs.

There is an entire GMTK video on difficulties and developers vs players.    Make the game that feels right to you,   I still played your game until I beat it, which is significantly more than I have played most of the games, so that says a lot :D

Really fun game to play and gets quite hectic at the end! I love how button mashing to kill the virus also clogs up your type bar so you need to account for that when killing them as well

Super cool game! It's very addicting and I had a lot of fun playing it!

This typing game was made pleasantly harder by not using real words, and the tension between typing the commands and squashing bugs led to some fun collisions. If the developer wants to continue working on this game, I'd love to see some more complications in the bug behavior. Good job!

Very fun game! I like how you present the game via computer only and we have to type in the buttons for playing.. The virus makes the game challenging and I like it!

Really fun. I'm terrible at typing games but was still able to do well for a while.

I watch the first live, but I missed the second and just check out.

Thank man! Mean a lot to see people having fun!

Is the first game that I launched and I really enjoyed saw you playing on twitch =)

And I also suck on typing XD

Could I comment the link for your live here? So people can see you playing.

If you only started game dev about 3 months ago you should be very proud of yourself. An overall interesting concept with a well polished game loop. Really awesome job.

Really fun game, it felt really hectic and out of control meaning it fits the theme perfectly! I really like how you had to multi-task with writing the instructions while getting rid of nasty bugs at the same time. The game also feels really polished which is also great. I don't really have any criticism other than it gets boring after a while but with a few more features I'm sure you can keep it interesting. Overall a fun, frantic experience, great job!

I really liked the concept of this, the first typing game i've ever played.

One criticism is that it was a bit annoying to have to delete the extra letters typed when clearing the virus from keys it had just infected, this isn't the case if you let something become infected as it seems only the last infected key will still type.

It also felt really easy at the start but the difficulty scaled really well other than the previously mentioned issue.

Good work for 48 hours, really enjoyable to play.

That was a really nicely presented game. It got suitably chaotic as the time went on, and definitely tested my typing ability. Only bug I had was a couple of times I'd get the animation showing I killed the virus, but it would still turn the key purple. Other than that it was really fun and a good jam submission.

Fun dynamic, and one of the better executions I've seen! Especially fond of moving through the game by typing the commands
