Direction dashing was a bit wonky, but I liked the style and atmosphere a lot.

Good work.

Only real criticism is that it can be hard to tell which direction I'm dashing. Like I have no idea which direction I will dash when I click. Maybe that's supposed to fit the theme but the idea is to fit the theme in a way that's enjoyable to play.

Criticism aside, this is a cool little platformer with some nice music and a cool atmosphere. I've rated you nicely :)

The game was very charming, and I love the inspirations drawn from Hollow knight (I mean just look at those wings and the sword!)

In terms of sticking to the theme, I feel like it made some of the gameplay kind of frustrating (notably the dash being very unreliable as a tool). I think thematically the idea of the magician losing control and going from having some spells to not having them altogether would have made some levels feel less like I'm fighting against luck to win. That's the only real criticism I have.

All things considered I really enjoyed the game and I think if not for that tiny mechanic (or more clever implementation perhaps) this would've been even more fun!

it's a very nice game, i can see that it's very inspired by hollow knight, from the wings to the item collection and the overall atmosphere, i had fun and the amount of check points was very nice. 

however i don't think this really fits the theme, i get that the dash was sort of random but it didn't really matter, if it was more chaotic and a calculated risk from the player than i would have fit the theme better i think.

yeah, the dash was more of a annoying mechanic than in interesting one

I love the hidden letter! Maybe a little harder to find than they should be, but it's a nice extra thing :)
