This game was a blast! While the art is simple and it's lacking much animation, it was still charming. I enjoyed the music and sound effects. I thought the beeping when you were running low on oxygen led to some great tension and I found myself slamming my keyboard to reconnect.

Maybe some variation in the asteroid size might have added to the visual variety and animating the flame booster would do a lot to help sell the immersion and you could accomplish that with just a few frames.

Overall, I really liked it and thought it was an interesting take on the theme. By being joined together you're hindered, but without the tank you die. Awesome idea and great execution in such a short jam!

I didn't felt like it was that big of a problem having the O2 tank attached, but nice entry to the jam :)

I had fun playing, this is an interesting take on the theme and I think you did a good job.

It looks like you have the skills to make the game a little more polished -- if you don't mind, here are some pointer that can go a long way:

  • The game can have a rocket-flame animation on the spaceship by stacking a few sprite and shifting them around left and right.
  • This is a personal preference, but I think the UI can look more polished if the text is smaller inside the buttons.
  • The crashing animation can be a fun part of the game -- consider adding some sprites of an explosion and putting a longer delay before showing the game over screen

All in all, this was fun to play.  Good luck, and I hope you keep it up!

Thank you for trying out my game and for the feedback. I just started getting into game development after taking an intro elective class for it a few months back and it has been really fun. I'll definitely take your feedback to improve in future projects!

At first i was a bit weird, but once you figure out how to play with the oxigen tank it is really funny ^^

Enjoyed the game! At first I didn't understad the oxygen function within the game, but once it started speeding up it was quite clear. Good job!
