I checked out Binary Land -- this is a really cool homage! I struggled for a bit because I completely forgot there was an attack. Really got my brain moving though. Great job on your first game jam :)

While the idea is not particularly original, this game has potential.

It would benefit from an improved level design and maybe a tutorial!

It never says how to attack the enemies which I found frustrating, I found the controls on the games page, but browsing from the GMTK area I didnt see them. Probably a good idea to include them in game next time. The presentation was pretty good.

I got the first place thing at the end.

It was fun but the enemies were frustrating, i needed to span the attack button whenever one was close and that didn't work sometimes, also i don't know if it's on purpose or if it affects the direction of the attack but the player characters always turned downwards as soon as i stopped pressing the direction buttons.

Really interesting game. The idea of controlling both characters at the same time seems like a somewhat common one, but it's well executed here.

The enemies were a bit of a frustration for me. The attack is somewhat tricky to pull off effectively, and I died multiple times trying to attack. It seemed like the optimal strategy is to first focus on killing all the enemies, then try to actually solve the puzzle, which removed most of the impact having them in the game. Also, when I first encountered them, my first thought was to try to sneak past them, but their pathing/AI was making that (nearly) impossible. I think the game could be improved by having a controls prompt pop up in the first few levels with controls might have help convey that you are supposed to attack the enemies.

I couldn't complete the second level. When both the guys get to the top they both need to touch the coin at the same time, but I can't figure out how to get them to both be the same distance from the middle. The idea is interesting but I can't really see much of it.

Fun to play, properly mind-bending at times, and you really learn to hate that mole thing lol.
