My quest to review the bird-themed games in the jam has lead me here.
The simple art style of the game is charming, and the borbs are cute! I like the idea of a puzzler centered around two birds trying to escape, and using items in the environment to break free. I solved the first puzzle (getting the black bird out of the cage) by ramming the pink bird against the bottom of the lock, instead of lifting the lock off from above (which probably would have been easier in retrospect), but I liked how the game allowed me to use my solution.
I wasn't able to lift the second opening. I did try to move the wedge preemptively with the pink bird before opening the cage, and the game said no. XD Nice to see you thought of that edge case.
The controls were a bit unwieldy, especially when trying to grab the same item with both birds or control them separately. Even so, I had fun and would be interested to see where this goes, if you do end up designing more levels.
thank you for taking a look at my game!! I'll keep your feedback in mind if I expand on this.
I like the style and the concept of lots of little things with physics simulation. The controls were a little too wacky for me though, I couldn't manage to open the cage!
thank you for your feedback!!
Cute little game! I’m gonna play it again with my girlfriend next time :)
thank you for playing!!
it is a very beautiful game, i loved the minimalist art. I don't know how to get past the first part lol, I was able to open the cage and close it again (with the birds outside)... I thought this would open the door and go to another room, but it didn't work. So I didn't get to explore much further, but I liked the idea so much that I really wanted to explore more. I like the chaotic way the controller was, I played on the keyboard and alone, controlling the two birds, it was a lot of fun. Congratulations
that was supposed to be the end (for now). thank you for your support! thank you for playing!!!
Oh this is my favorite one I've played so far! The art was great, the music at the end is lovely and most of all, the gameplay was really engaging. By the end I was wedging the big triangle under a slight gap I pried open beforehand and then flying into it to open it up further - such a fun moment! Great work
this has made my day. thank you!!!
Wonderrful idea with simple art and great gameplay!
I'd personally love to see a full game out of it!
thank you!!! I hope to expand it someday.
Art is simple, but looks nice. Controls are a bit too strong, it's hard to move the characters to where you want them, and controlling two of them at the same time is over my mental capacity.
It's not clear if i finished the game, i opened the door thing on the right, got a black screen and a piano tune, is that it, or is there more?
that was all, I had end text but removed it then added controls text then missed adding it back haha. you did finish the game. thank you for playing!!!
Actually a wonderful idea, and I like the simplistic art style. More levels would have been great, especially to give the player the chance to learn the mechanics.
hope I can, soon. thank you for your support!!!
