I had a lot of fun flying around at light speed, with a barely but still controllable ship smashing into literally everything! I had trouble understanding how to achieve this lightspeed state (sometimes I accelerated to max speed for a while and nothing would happen, until I bumped into something). I also wasn't sure how to use the grappling hook. It seemed to get me stuck at the point where it grappled.

Besides that though, it's a really hectic and fun game that I'd love to see more content added to in the future! Great job!

Thanks for the feedback! It should have been explained further that you need to get to max speed first, then use the grappling hook to get the kick to reach lightspeed.

Good to play while high (lol).

The UI can be improved especially the result screen. It's a lil hard to read the scores for me. Tutorial can be helpful too since I have no idea at first on what I'm supposed to do. I did figure it myself and it was fun to play even though it's pretty easy for me (I'm a pro! heheh). Good job for this game!

Yeah, I kind of plopped together the results screen, so that will have to be fixed and there definitely needs to be a tutorial if there are to be future versions. Glad you enjoyed it!

I managed to get a score of 1400 on my second playthrough, after not really getting it on my first attempt. (I still think I got a higher score that first time, thought it was mostly by accident!) I never was entirely sure how to get into lightspeed, and the camera could be a bit much as it spun around and shook with impact. Still, the game was a lot of fun to play. I adored spinning around and latching onto things and building up speed, and even if I wasn't completely sure of all of the nuance of the abilities the game offered, I did my best to crush everything in my wake in lightspeed. Which was awesome. The explosions of the asteroids was satisfying, and the sound effects were great. If you are considering expanding this post-jam in any way, I would love to see how the game could be improved upon and polished. Good job!

I definitely should have added a better tutorial to explain how you gain speed and reach lightspeed. Basically you have to get to full speed, then fire a grapple and release which 100% required more explanation, and maybe if there is a post jam version, the screen shake could be toned down a bit.  Glad you liked it!

The concept is interesting, but it took me some time to understand how the things work. Flying around destroying the ships was really fun but the asteroids were kind of annoying, but that is the point of the game, navigating around the asteroids while maintaining your speed

The issues I encountered were ->
The spaceship moves a bit weird when you use the grappling hook
The gameover screen does not take up the whole screen (just a part in the center)

Other than that, overall an amazing entry to the jam! Great job!

Yeah, the grappling hook could've been put together a little better and is still very buggy and there may be too many asteroids in the way. Thanks for the feedback!

Oh boy, the name got me excited! And the game has potential! Even with the tutorial text, I was confused what to do and what the time dilation value means (does it change anything?). I also achieved lightspeed only by accident but that was fun and I liked that you can reload it! I think fi you can clear up the early confusion then this would be a really fun game. Nice job!

Developer

Yeah I probably should have added an actual tutorial or something. The time dilation basically slows everything else down and you increase it by speeding up. I'll make sure I do that kind of thing more in the future. Thanks for the feedback.

I didn't really know what was going on and moving in circles really did the job just fine..

Apart from not knowing what was happening for the first few seconds it was very fun, slamming into the enemies and the meteors was very satisfying, the yellow and black background was ok but the game was very fun to play

First off, the name is great. Second off, I like the navigation and hook shot, but ultimately I'm completely confused what I need to do.

Developer(+1)

Thanks, there were many EVIL naysayers to the name. Anyways, I don't know how I forgot to mention you have to launch yourself towards the enemies to kill them, but thanks for reminding me! There's not really much of an objective other than slamming yourself at enemies as quickly as possible.

The one time I did manage to get into lightspeed was very fun, but I have no idea how it happens. So the tutorial has to be a lot better, and the game would come more to light.

Developer

Ah, I should have made that clearer, you get to light speed by going over 20% time dilation by hooking on an asteroid and releasing. Thanks for the feedback!
