Nice characters. One of the better linking of characters powers as well compared to others. Felt a bit unsmooth to play but fun game once i started switching freely.
We think the linked character idea is a good one! Also, Rosie wielding an AK47 is hilarious! We think the controls need a bit more polish, and for some improvements, we'd like to suggest some feedback about what causes Ted's breakdown! Well done!
it's mentioned in the game, It happens when Ted gets too far away from Rosie , glad you like the game :)
I love the ideas presented however my main issues have been stated before and much better than I ever could. But the characters are cute and I love the concept if polished this could make for a really cute and enjoyable platformer.
nice!
pretty good!
neat, art is great loved it
Love the idea, but the control is too slippery, and there are some weird transparent collision boxes on the ground that blocks the movement sometimes, and you can't jump on each others, which is kinda unintuitive, if polished it would make a fun game!!
I love the idea and the art itself. My issue is the same as stated by Punica, especially for it being too slippery. Although, that doesn't bother me much. However, I'm not sure if it's only me or the screen is a bit too close, I didn't know the enemy is near and coming towards us. About the enemy, they move a bit too fast for me, since we have to control both of the characters, I had to repeatedly smash the Q button (lol) in order to save both of my characters. Perhaps lowering the enemy's speed might help or take the camera a bit further away from the characters would do the trick. Despite all that, great job!
It took me some time to realize what you meant by "shooting ropes". I was like "What's that black thing coming out the gun? Why doesn't it hurt the other character?"
The idea and the mechanics are cool, and it can be expanded into a great puzzle-platformer with action elements!
Currently, the biggest issue with the game is control. First, the characters are way too slippery; and it's way too easy to fall of the edge. This is especially an issue in this game, since there are two characters. I don't want to worry about the last one while I switch to the other. Second, precise jumping is very hard. The amount of speed you had before jumping effects the jump a bit too much, making it hard to make jumps from a standstill. Also the control you have in you jump while in the air feels very limited.
Once the issues with the control are fixed, I think this would make a great game! The art is amazing, the music is great, the idea and the mechanics are nice... I would definitely encourage you to work on this game after the jam!
Short and sweet, nice mechanical ideas. The varying pixel density of the art and the controls both feel a little jarring. A good proof of concept that could turn into quite the enjoyable puzzle game!
