I hope you enjoy playing, and had fun during the jam!
The presentation is awesome, I like the graphics and animation. The art style is just great! And the overal idea is cool, I built some of base and different nodes, but I did not understand how to win. I placed turret, it fired, but I couldn't see any damage dealt. The enemy base never grew as well I guess. Maybe this is what you meant by "broken" :) Anyway, I think with a bit more time this is gonna be a thing. Congratulations on this one!
Hey thanks for playing! Yeah there wasn't really any gameplay, it was more of an unfinished prototype. Damage was possible to inflict but very slowly. You needed lots of firepower to really see any results. The enemy ai was completely static, it's lucky there even was one, I designed all the art for it in the last moments.
Do you have any suggestions?
Hm, this is a difficult question, since this is mostly addressed to you I guess. I mean, where would you like to take this game?
It looks like an RTS but with static elements which does not give much of gameplay variety, you'll just have to overpower your opponent. Besides it looks like the current economy system has positive feedback loop. By that I mean, that the one who takes advantage from the start in terms of resources, will only grow it.
Dunno, again, those are just my assumptions on your theoretical plans.
In my fantasy, this node system could be a living moving organism. Or organisms. This would be really cool and fresh :) I guess. Then maybe you'd want the placing of the nodes to matter. Maybe there could be some gold ore on the map, where you should put your miners. All of that stuff.
Sorry for a bit chaotic reply. I'd made a better one if I understood better what you are trying to achieve. Would gladly discuss with you further.
I was certainly overwhelmed by this game so props for the title haha
Haha what do you mean?
A potential entry!
Hey thanks for playing!
Do you mean it has potential as a concept or it potentially could make it to the video?
Great concept for a game, it needs tweaking and also proper enemy ai but nevertheless I'm impressed of what you have achieved in such short time!
Thanks for playing! I agree it needs tweaking for sure, and a proper enemy AI would have been wonderful but my time management was nonexistent.
What tweaks would you suggest?
Really nice game with awesome graphics! I wish it would take shorter time to kill the enemy base cause it's kinda frustrating waiting for my gun to finally destroy anything.
Thanks for playing! I’m glad to hear you liked the graphics!
I agree the HP of units is a little higher than I intended it to be but you can build more than one gun!
Just make sure your battery is getting enough power from other generators so that they have enough electricity to spare for the extra firepower.
You could get like 10 guns pointed at the enemy base, select them all and press i to aim them all at once and the base would be destroyed in seconds no problems!
Wow, this looks awesome. Seems like you take the same development approach as me: build the main mechanic and then panic when you realise that you haven't actually made a game! I'm looking forward to seeing more of this in the future.
Hey thanks I’m glad you liked it!
Yeah that approach is very risky and stressful I don’t recommend it!
Do you have any suggestions?
