Really fun, it felt like every weapon had a practical use and the difficulty ramp was pretty well-balanced. Great presentation too!

Though it blends a bit with the orange enemies, I really like the yellow lights in the background aesthetic.

I'm torn on the core mechanic cos on one hand it's a bit tricksy to use in a way that doesn't flow too well, on the other there's definitely something conceptually satisfying about it if that makes any sense. Like, there's a coolness factor, perhaps to having multiple components or having the projectiles transform of something.

I think the oddity of the game is how that idea clashes with flow. EG, having to stop to aim to shoot backwards at the dude, it requires too much focus relative. Perhaps if a wave was shot backwards?

Never really understood the build-up bullets, though switching between the other 3 attacks was interesting enough.

Perhaps some kind of explosion attack that can damage you as well would be interesting?

Edit: Oh, thought. Did you consider having shooting the enemies being the trigger for the effects instead? Obvs it would be quite a different game but it might flow better.

Very interesting take on the theme for sure.
The game goal was clear very quick even tho the concept was something completely new to me.
Simple graphics, I would fix the background to be clear but other than that it's a nice entry.

Very nice visuals and audio, although I find the enemy that is constantly behind you a bit hard to deal with, even with the bouncing third weapon.

This took me a few tries to figure out, especially with the different weapons, but once I did, it was a cool game. I like how your fire almost seems like a prism when it branches off. It is a fun arcadey style game, and your gameplay, art, and music all work to sell that.

I love the arcade cabinet look of the game. Really cool!

It was a little difficult to understand how shooting works, but I got the hand of it. Overall, I liked the game especially the  arcade feel to the game with the graphics.

Hey! I remember seeing your stuff on Newgrounds!

This game's graphics are really well polished, and the gameplay is simple and fun as well. I really love how you did you UI with the LCD screen effect, it gives it a cool style.

The only critique I have is that the beginning is a bit confusing even with written controls, if the instructions could appear in game for a little while that would help retain the controls a lot easier. But, maybe that's just me.

Other than that though this game plays out really well, great job!
