Really well polished game! Great ambient and music!

This is a GAMY game, really fun. The concept of bind and use enemies is great, is nice to use their own unique attack!

Good job!

Extremely good game. Attacks felt really crunchy, with great feedback, and enemies had nice variety. The aesthetics absolutely amazing, art, sound effects, and music worked together really well. Loved the volume sliders, that's absolutely huge to have (especially since they were broken up into categories). This is easily one of my favorites, fantastic job!

Whoa, this was the juiciest game I think I played in this jam so far! So much works was done on polish as well, custom cursor in the menu that's different than the custom cursor in the game, actual option menu split out for music/sfx volumes, etc. The tutorial was short and to the point and well done, and the game itself was fantastic. I really liked the balance of making sure I possessed the type of enemy to help at that time (circle blast when there's lots everywhere or the smg one when it's more focused) and was really surprised that the enemy abilities I could use was more than just fire rate/number of bullets. I was surprised when I possessed the ghost bug and was suddenly able to walk through walls, haha. Everything from the particles to screenshake or that lightning animation when you die was well done. Really impressive, great job!

Nicely made game, especially due to the good in game tutorial.  Excellent presentation art- and musicwise.  I like the idea of controlling others though this might be something many games here have in mind.  Feels complete, good job!

Interesting game concept. I could easily see this being a twin stick shooter using a controller (harder using mouse to fire).

Submitted

Yeah, I was going in, expecting Isaac controls and the mouse was an interesting wrinkle to it.

The art is so unique, the neon yellow and the dark atmosphere are so nice togather.
The gameplay is addictive, Controlling the enemies as they come and go with different projectiles is so satisfying!
A very well done entry, it has a lot of potentials to continue working on. I can see this as a mechanic for a full game! Great job!

Wow! A unique mechanic, superb presentation, fun to play, five stars all around! If the game had objectives or was level-based (just give the player something to do beside kill enemies), I can easily see this becoming much more than just a game jam game.

Amazing game with a really unique mechanic and amazing graphics. Besides a few bugs that you seem to already be aware of I have no issues with this game.

Submitted

This is a super cool game, the visuals and design of the enemies are outstanding, and I really like how ingrained the gameplay is into the "world" so to speak. The enemies when you control them could perhaps use a bit of tweaking, maybe speeding up the projectiles they fire a bit, at least the early ones, but, all in all it's a lot of fun and gets quite challenging! It'd be really cool to see this concept taken further and fleshed out even more! Nice work!

A really well made game! Solid design and good art. I love that you have all the designs as a picture on the page

This was excellent! I felt a little helpless at times as I got swarmed after 10 or so kills, but it's an overall well-polished piece of work for a game jam.

Submitted

Impressively presented game! Though I think the enemy spawn rate curve needs a bit of tweaking (too slow at first and then accelerates too quickly), and the couple bugs others have mentioned. Congratulations and good job nonetheless!

Submitted

Awesome visual style! It would have been great to be able to link up more than enemy at the same time. Nevertheless, great job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! I did originally think about linking to multiple enemies, but when I tried it out it ended up being way too unbalanced and it was too easy to get extremely overpowered early-game.

Submitted

decreasing enemy spawn time to achieve more mayhem when linked to more than one enemy perhaps ? :P

Developer

That might actually be more fun. Too bad it's a bit too late to update the game lol.

Submitted

These jams.. Why does it feel the time ALWAYS runs out .. :D

Submitted

Love the idea of the game! Sadly it kept breaking and would go into a weird slow motion. The randomly spawned enemies felt a bit funky as for the first few minutes there were no enemies usually.

Submitted

Really great gameplay, feels super polished and the art and music are great. Amazing job, one of my favourites so far!

Submitted

My only complaint so far is no boss fight, and that the flying enemy can't shoot through the wall it's in which just feels wrong

Developer

Man if I had the time to add a boss fight I would have had so much fun.

Wow! That was spectacular. I loved the gameplay and the premise, and it was very polished both visually and aurally. Very, very well done -- this is one of my favorites so far!

My only suggestion is to make the objective a bit more clear. I initially thought it was going to be level based, but then it didn't seem to be (or I just didn't know how to exit/finish the level).

Developer

Haha sorry, I should've made that a bit more clear. It's endless and the goal is to kill as many baddies as possible.

very cool!

Incredible soundtrack and insane graphics! A lot done in just 48 hours! Great variation on the enemy types, though some were not as useful as others. Wish there was a way to release a captured enemy so I could take over another one. Otherwise, super impressive and well done!

Top Notch!

First, I am super impressed by the completeness of this submission. A tutorial. A bunch of different enemy types that all work with the joining mechanic. Lighting effects. Crisp, non buggy controls. Screen shake. SFX for pretty much everything. An Epic sounding and highly varied musical composition. This is just fabulously juiced up for 48 hours of work!

Next, I think this is an excellent take on the theme, both the joined and unjoined states have meaningful gameplay consequences, and you get to play around with it a lot by controlling all the different enemy types.

The only criticism that comes to mind is that when the level first loaded up for me, it took a while for an enemy to spawn in, so I was confused about what to do for a few moments. It cleared up fast though.

Great work!!!
