Cool game. I love the graphics. But the movement was for me too hard. The speed was too high and I was sometimes confused about turning the car based of its point of view instead of camera's point of view.

But overall good game.

Damn these cars are fast :D I really dig the art style

Developer

Yeah, there seems to be consensus on the speed :D I'm glad you like the artstyle. I haven't worked on a top down game before.

I love this art style and effects! I noticed that UI is breaking i am using resolution 3440x1440.

Developer

Thank you! The top down art style was new to us as well as creating effects within Unity. We made the game to laptops both at 1080p resolution, so we didn't spent much time testing other resolutions, but thanks for the heads up!

Nice work! I'm a fan of the controls, visuals, and music. The car speed and difficulty could use a little adjustment, but all the mechanics are there for a great game. The hardest part for me was driving over the collectibles accurately. I enjoyed playing and I could see this being a fun couch co-op/split screen versus game. Keep up the good work.

Developer

Thanks a lot. It's always nice to receive positive and constructive criticism. :)

Interesting concept! I liked the particle effects and the lasting changes I had on the environment.

I'd suggest looking into scene transitions as that would greatly improve the user experience!

Developer

Thanks! good idea with scene transitions we will have to look into that.

The game is very beautiful and has a lot of potential, but it's hard to enjoy because the car is too fast and I just end up staying in place. I understand that the game needs you to move and actively hunt down other cars and that helps you survive, but the extreme speed of the car makes it not enjoyable.

The other things of the game are very good, mostly the artstyle.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! We didn't have much time left for playtesting, so the high speed driving is left as a challenge to overcome ;)

We were a two person team, and this was our second game jam (and my second game ever). I stood for the art and music, so I'm glad you liked the artstyle.

Last year we made One Man Staff:

I just tried One Man Staff and it was very good. I love the chaotic aspect of it and, again, the artstyle. It reminds me of games such as "Papers, please" in which you need to be aware of everything and can't lose focus at anytime.

Developer

Papers please was definitely one of the inspirations for the game. Thanks for checking it out.

The music is original, but we used preexisting sound effects. Enjoy!
