i think its bit too hard to controll, but idea is good, wish u had more time for getting this game more playable ;)

thanks for the feedback! glad you liked the idea, and yeah didn't think of the controls too much, might expand on this idea later

It looks good and seems like it could have potential.
Unfortunately, controls are a little jank, so it was difficult to even attempt to control it.
But good job for the amount of time you put in.

Developer

thanks for the feedback! yeah the controls aren't great but i'm satisfied with what i did for 10 hours

The concept is there but in the current state it doesnt really work ou. Still want to congratulate you on finshing a game though!

thanks! i'm aware of it's very unfinished and broken state, and i've addressed that on the game page aswell, i've made it in ~10 hours and so in the submission hours i kind of changed the numbers for the rocket engine's power gain and usage which made it too easy and it was too late for me to change it back as WebGL builds took a while, as it does.

My rocket was going up, but facing the ground :D

Developer

Not sure if this is a complaint or not, but yeah i froze the movement on the x axis to cause less issues which why it rotates like crazy, i found it to be kind of a funny thing about it

Physcics games are always plenty of fun. For ten hours this is an impressive amount of work. Well done.

Developer

thanks for the feedback! Glad you liked it

The rate of power consumption and power recharge is a bit slow in my opinion, you could go quite a long time at full throttle without the power running out (this is on web).. I liked your choice of audio, it goes well with the design and art direction.

thanks for the feedback! I've mentioned that in the game page but yes i'm aware of the game's inbalance in the jam version, i did some last number switching when i was uploading because i was scared it would be too hard for people and ended up making it wayy too easy.
if you wanna try and play the postjam version, i've uploaded a fixed one on github: https://github.com/Offlical/gmtk-2021/releases/tag/v0.1-alpha-postjam

Its done in 10h. so nice to have music. I try to play and I think you should invest 2Days in this. But now it is in a to much raw status.

Developer

thanks for the feedback! and yes i'm aware of it's very unfinished state, didn't have a lot of time to spice up the gameplay and i messed up the numbers last second when uploading. thanks for playing!

It's really hard to get the rocket to go up !

Developer

I assume you downloaded the windows version, that version has an issue where i forgot to multiply everything by delta time so if your computer moves really fast it's almost impossible to make it. WebGL has that issue fixed though, but still is inbalanced.

Cool idea with resource management, the rocket didn't want to stay upright for me though lol

Developer

yeah the physics of that didn't really go too well since i stopped the x axis movement, but it kinda made it somewhat funny so i just kept it, glad you liked the idea!
