I very much enjoyed this. :]

I really enjoyed the dynamic music (IDK if that's the right term) when switching commands. And getting a big group of mice to shred through an entire field of corn was also very fun.

I sort of wish you could spawn more mice by eating enough corn or something, like to rebuild your numbers if you lose most of your mice.

A post-jam update is in the works that includes the game as is as well as an arcade mode with re-spawning rats :)

Really cool concept and some very nice animations. I wish there were a more active way of dealing with the cats. I'm guessing you're supposed to hide your rats until the cats go away but if you don't have enough holes for all your rats the cats will just hang around and pick off the stragglers and if you run around and find holes for all your rats, then you're kinda just stuck.

Sending the rats to eat corn was super satisfying and the game overall has a ton of charm and character - I hope you update it post jam!

Very fun little game - really great for just the jam!  Aesthetically pleasing and engaging.  I think you already have any bugs I encountered listed.  Except I think some of my rats may have gone through some of the trees and ended up on the other side when I was like "Everybody hide!"  (But maybe that didn't really happen and some other previously confused rats found their way there.  :D  Not really sure!)
Thanks for the fun game ^_^

I legit love games where I get to be a jerk for no discernable reason, and this one scratches that itch quite well!

This game looks great and the gameplay is the best kind of chaotic. A swarm reacting to stimuli, rather than being directly controlled or micromanaged. I was a bit sad that I lost some of my rats early on, but finding more to recruit to my army lifted my spirits.

Beautiful looks, and great details with the different music and reactions of the rats. The game felt quite fresh, and it's certainly one of the most unique ones I've played on this jam. Way to go! 🌽

It's such a fun game! Just getting your rats to eat all the corn is so satisfying. What did the village do to this girl to require such revenge?? The whole art and music is so wholesome until the horn appears and you destroy people's livelihoods. It's lovely. Also, thanks a bunch for the Linux build!

❄ a lot of the code runs (roughly) on the beat of the song too, roughly
