Very interesting concept, I would disable the line that links the character to the ability because I did think the lines affected the physics somehow.

Developer

considering they're literally line renderers I highly doubt that

This was insanely fun! definitely getting some Baba is You vibes, but it has it's own flavor and originality.

I also appreciated the minimalist art. It worked well for this game.

The music drove me a little crazy. With a puzzle game like this, something more serene or ambient would have worked better. The 8-bit sounds were too harsh in my opinion

Great idea and definitely worth continuing!

yea the music kinda sucks haha

I really don't know how to make music but also didn't want to stress my friend out haha

This is one of the best games I have ever seen! I feel like you got some inspiration from Baba is You, a game where you move blocks to create code to control game mechanics. I honestly think this will get into the top 20 for game jam. Amazing Job!

Developer

thank you! I honestly kind of doubt that since there's a lot of games for this jam, but one can always dream

Best game I've played so far in the jam ! At first I thought the jump was a bit too floaty, but turns out it's perfect for the level design and double / wall jump to go through the entire screen quickly. The activate / desactivate made me think of Baba is you, but in an original way. There's pretty much endless level possibilites with this design.

Great job !

Wow! That was a very great idea! Nice style! G to the G!

Interesting idea. Loved the level design! The movement and the jump can be made more tighter! Otherwise, Great work!

The game is very challenging and fun! I liked its concept

Very cool! Interesting mechanics explored in unique ways. The jump feels a bit floaty, but in your level design you take full advantage of that. Would love to see more!

Fun time! Played through all the levels. Just the right difficulty for a jam game :)

I disagree that the theme was an afterthought. The theme's true intention (from Mark's video) was about linking mechanics not physical objects, and you're linking your set of platforming mechanics to your set of puzzling mechanics. I thought it was really well done :)

I love the game and it's core mechanic, but the adherence to the theme feels like an after thought. You could remove the ropes and the game would be the same because they're only a visual aid. Still pretty amazing!

Sick concept!

Very cool game! Nice difficulty curve and intersting concept. Just a suggestion: the win zone could have been mare eye catching. Great job!

Very nice concept! I love the different mechanics, I had a lot of fun playing! it fits the theme very nicely and its very clever

Super fun! I love the little puzzles you've made 😍 The character is a bit tricky to control at first and I would have love to see the game just a bit more polished!

The concept is good and I played quite a few levels. Kudos!
