Nice game! it looked nice, played well and was a unique idea! I did have some difficulty playing due to trying to make matches while also controlling my character. I don't know if that was intended. If not, perhaps the grid should be centered or closer to the action, because as it was I was essentially multi-tasking and pretty bad at it. Without instructions it was hard to know If I was playing right/optimally, but I stuck around for a decent while (dying was tankfully hard). Also, not sure if programmer art, but it had a certain charm, liked how it all looked and meshed together!

Overall it was a great idea that might be worth going further with :)

An unusual, but surprisingly fun combination! Panically shuffling card signs while dodging enemies until the ability to retaliate felt like a great loop. Would love to see the two more... joined together? I kept looking away from the arena oh gosh I'm playing candy crush while driving.
Found that I was getting too much energy and too few cards, though. Matching 5 helped but still felt tedious.

Regardless, I still enjoyed it. Would love to see it more fleshed out and with more content!

Also trying to match when the timer was going made it bug out, might wanna look into that.

I understood it this way: make rows > gain points> select the cards you want o use > attack the enemy.

It is an interesting merge of gamplays, but it can be a bit overwhelming at first, maybe a simple tutorial scene where you complete a row, select a power and use it.

Even if it lacks a bit of explanation and the game doesn't seem to drop many cards after doing rows and columns the idea is phenomenal, I really think you should work this into something bigger

An interesting concept that I would love to see more fleshed out.  I did seem to run into a bug where I ran out of cards and even when matching jokers it didn't do anything, but aside from that I think this was actually laid out quite well and avoided being overwhelming despite the multiple mechanics to keep track of.

Thanks for the review ! I'm very sorry for this bug, though it never happened to me during my play test inside the editor so that's very weird. Still I'm happy to see you liked the mechanic of the game.

Super duper fun! I hope you continue to work on it more! The dual gameplay is laid out nicely and the art has a lot of charm! Amazing work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot ! I think I'll continue the game one day, but I'll have to make the dual gameplay way simpler so I can add more mechanic, not sure yet. I might totally replace the puzzle for something else, it's really hard to focus on both side for now.

Ah, that makes sense! Well, whatever you decide to work on in the future, I wish you the best of luck!

Seems like an interesting concept, although a tutorial is probably needed to keep the player from getting scared off by the UI. That being said, I also really liked the artstyle and colorscheme. Nice work!

I really appreciate your feedback. Due to lack of time we couldn't make a tutorial. Though, thanks for the positive review !

I thought it was a really cool idea to combine a simple matching game with top down action! My only issue was I kept running out of cards and I wasn't sure how to get more of them. Maybe it could be good to have like a basic attack that you can always use even if  you don't have any cards. Great idea overall!

Thanks for the feedback ! If I continue the game, I think I'll make basic attacks as you said to make the game more playable. To get cards, you have to line up the white hats (which are supposed to represent joker's card symbol).
