Very cool tower defense game! The game feels a little slow, but other than that it's a very good game. Nice job!

Really enjoyed this!! Aside from the low frame rate being a bit distracting I found the mechanic of taking enemy plants and making them your own very cool! I don't entirely see where the roles reversed theme comes in, though.

Developer

The "Role Reversal" is how you're reversing the allegiance of the plants :)

Instead of them attacking, they become towers.

Glad you enjoyed!

Oh true!!

I looked over the comments and agree with most of them. I was trying to get a cactus because I didn't have a cactus before and it died before I got it. If it was more chaotic and the powerups are rare to get and hard to get, that would really push this over the edge. But it was made in 48 hours so.. Great Concept love to see this fully fleshed out time permitting. I really enjoyed it

The idea of more control over a tower defense is really cool. I found it a little to slow paced but it is the only trouble i had ! Good game

The balance was a bit too easy i think but overall a nice game. it would have been nice to have some indication if you are carrying a plant.

Developer

Carrying a plant -- Definitely agreed! It was on the todolist since I added the ability to harvest an enemy plant... it was just always slightly lower priority than everything else.

Also agreed, its a little too easy.

Nice twist on a tower defense game. In some tower defense games, the player doesn't have much input during a wave, I liked that I could get in there and interact with everything all the time.

Good 'bespoke' art and music.

It could use some balancing, I always felt pretty comfortable with unlimited power to capture things that got away.

Good Job!

Very cool concept! I enjoyed it but found that if a plant ever got too far forwards, I could just hold it back by collecting it, so I was never in much danger. Really cool though! :)

A cool tower defense game. I think that capturing enemies is something definitely worth exploring more! Doing an auto chess like combining to make stronger towers could be cool.

Developer(+1)

The autochess / autobattler inspiration was very much there! There's a whole heap of tech under the hood to help support it... but ran out of time. I have a major appreciation for intricately interactive games now.

Hi everyone! Thanks again for checking out my game. Honest reviews, critiques, and recommendations are very welcome!

The only asset that wasn't created during the Jam was the leaf tile cover page :)
