Loved the art and the little story!
I did notice that you move fasting going diagonal, this is due to the velocity not being normalized. I suggest looking up how to normalize movement in your game engine.

Add some sort of display to the zones or the actual players that are getting buffed/debuffed i think would have help with some decision making. Sometimes im not 100% sure if I'm making an impact or not.
Flesh this out a bit and add some rougelite treasure in-between each match and I could play it for hours!

Music was only in my left ear, not sure if that was a me problem or a game problem. Also wish the game was a bit faster, I felt like I was waiting a lot for the little guys to explore.
Would be interested in playing a more fleshed out version of this in the future.

Nice twist on a tower defense game. In some tower defense games, the player doesn't have much input during a wave, I liked that I could get in there and interact with everything all the time.
Good 'bespoke' art and music.
It could use some balancing, I always felt pretty comfortable with unlimited power to capture things that got away.

Very unique game. I didn't even realize it was a puzzle game till about the 4th or 5th level, I had this jaw dropping moment when I figured out what was going on. The rulesets changing level to level also made it so much more engaging.
Art was good, loved the humor, the music changing pitch when fast forwarding was also a nice touch.

Absolutely LOVE this idea.
Loved watching the players doing their thing in the world, felt a little like roller coaster tycoon but with an MMO.
The font was a little off putting, and I wasn't a fan of manually summoning the monsters.
Add a little quality of life and a bit more content and I could play this for hours.

Great game all around, congrats! Great art, amazing sound, quick to learn and simple gameplay, and the S-S-S-SUPER TRUCK is very hype!
I did want the fire to feel a bit more firey, was hoping to set fire to buildings and have them take damage over time.
Also the volume slider in the main menu is a great touch, the Quality of Life stuff usually gets missed in jam games.
My high score was 37,800.

I think you bring up a real good point on the randomization part. March of the zombies had no randomization while raining blood had too much randomization. The real reason the holes were so far apart was you had bad luck, cause the holes spawn is completely random!
Finding a good middle ground for randomness is tough and I will keep that in mind.
