Interesting reference to the merge mechanics, but I couldn't find any characters above level 5, so I couldn't win. But the idea is very cool, would love to see a sequel and development of the idea.

The control over the wizard does not feel very responsive, there is also a bug in the control: if you constantly press the jump near the wall, you can climb up endlessly. The tutorial does not mention the ability to triple jump. The visual style is generally ok, but it doesn't feel like something coherent. The gameplay idea in general is not bad, but it feels rather tedious. Overall, not bad, but needs a lot of improvement.

The concept is really cool and I think matches the GMTK theme really well!
I've had a hard time with the platforms, or rather, the physics. The hunters don't jump too high so it was hard finding a low enough ghost to absorbs.
It felt like a cool concept game for multiplayer as well. I can't wait to see what you do with this after GMTK is over :)

Fun and oddly addicting running around between wizards and ghosts, icy physics make the wall jumping challenging and suspenseful. Overall, good job!

Not a fan of gravity in this game - I think it would have been better (for my hands and enjoyment) if hunters could move up (maybe make it so that the game is from a birds-eye view?). Oddly addicting, though!

I'm a sucker for leveling systems and seeing numbers go up so I had a lot of fun with this. Implementing sound effects and music might add to the feel a lot. Good job and good luck on the jam results.

This was fun! The platforming was a bit jank but I understand that it's hard to polish everything within the time limit.
Some minor suggestions I have would be to have an indicator for when your spirit levels up, and to maybe have some other types of dark wizards or have some of the dark wizards actively trying to attack you as a spirit. Overall, good job!

how do I level up, I don't even know the main goal of the game, and there is no sound, the design and Animations are great but if i do not even know the main Idea It's gonna be a problem for the player to play your game, but overall it's a solid base! can you play my game please so I can get feedbacks!
Thanks for playing! You have to possess wizards in order to absorb other ghosts and level up your ghost. You can only possess wizards that are an equal or lower level than your ghost and you can only absorb ghosts that are an equal or lower level than your hunter. The goal is to level up as much as possible, but there's currently no end game cause we ran out of time lol.
Quite good leveling game , but i have no idea how to level up. l collected few souls with the Lvl.1 wizard and then got kicked out of it when i touched level 30 ghost.
The game really likes level 5 wizards, i've only seen 1 level 1 wozard and 1 level 30 wizard.
About thee movement: It's very slippery and generally not great, Is this your first platformer like game? It looks lime you used round collider for the wizard, but rectangular collider for the platforms. Such combination doesn't work well or not at all.
Your ground check gives me extra jumps even when im touching a platform from the side.
You can also hang on a sode by hlding a direction key towards the wall.
If you fix all the movement issues, and add some feedback to action in the game (like how many ghosts/souls i need to level up) it could be quuite a nice game. The "I'M frustrated" room in Will you snail is quote fun even when it's just collecting one, same thing .
Thanks for the feedback! The point of the game is to possess the wizards in order to absorb the other ghosts and level up your ghost. Once you level up you ghost enough you can find a higher level wizard to possess and continue leveling up. Also, every time you possess a wizard, the higher level ghosts will start targeting you, and if they touch you you'll be forced to unpossess the wizard you're currently possessing. The game only spawns in lvl 5 wizards and lvl 1 ghosts currently cause I ran out of time and couldn't make them spawn with random levels lol, but it is definitely on the to-do list if I decide to continue working on this game alone. As for the movement and platforming, I'm not the one who worked on that so I have no idea what happened there lol. Glad you enjoyed the game!
