I did not expect to re-learn flappy bird today. Only nitpick I've got is that I wish I coulda played it with a keyboard button as an alternative to my mouse (which is unresponsive). Otherwise, wow.

I suck at flappy bird
Ahhh sorry about that 😅. We nerfed the difficulty from the original a bit, but it's still the same idea. We would have liked to play with the rng or include more accessibility, but building a VN from scratch took a little longer than we thought and that 48 hr time limit caught up!

Oh my god. This was really good! The writing is really sharp and funny and the character art is great. I love the concept of needing to get certain Flappy scores for different dialogue options. Really nailed the ending, too.

The main gameplay just being flappy bird feels like cheating in some ways, but I love the rest so much I don't really care...
Yeah, we figured since the main genre (and programming work) was building up the Visual Novel, we could stealth add in that minigame as a bonus. Also, since Flappy Bird is technically not an original game, but just a textbook exercise; we just saw the programming as a classwork LOL.
And of course, all humor and brain-rot belongs to us :D

The whole concept is amazing, and you have turned it into a good game. Visuals, Music, and Writing: all deliver (especially for a game made in 48h). There are some minor things like being able to close floppy bird when needing it for a dialogue option. But all of these problems can easily be overlooked, making your game a really fun experience.
