Cool puzzle "chess" game! I love also the art. The hand drawing characters are so cute!
Even if I don't why i've spend 5 minutes to understand that you first have to click on the piece before moving it (instead of drag & drop xD) it was still a good play.
This is a really good game. I love tactics games and I love chess. The mechanics were great and the art was great. I do think it would be really cool to have a third level with both enemy types where both players have to protect each other from certain enemy types. But this is still really fun. Great Job!
The art is also really great.
Yeah, I was planning to have a mixed-enemy level too, but didn't have enough time to really think it out. (If I was going to be really ambitious, I was thinking about having further levels where you have the sword and wand and the opponents have the shield and book and are trying to escape, and then you're role-reversed that way. But that definitely was impossible for me within a single weekend.)
Ooh that does sound really cool.
Good job! The art is amazing and the idea is fresh!
love the artstyle and concept, definitely would benefit from sound and some JUICE, great work tho!
Really like the art style.
I do think there should be an easier level at the start to get players used to the controls and the concept of protection, as well as the ability to rewind turns.
A really fun and unique idea. Very well polished. Only critique is that losing causing a full restart is a little harsh.
