I really love the texts when you score, even thought you're not supposed to xD... This is a creative aproach, I've seen a game where you also control the terrain, but in this one you try to sabotage the ball as well, and graphics and music are really nice as well
thank you so much! One half of our team are gold nerds so coming up with the score text was a lot of fun :D
The idea of trying to balance stopping the ball from reaching the end and collecting coins that are in shortcuts is a fun one. I feel like in an ideal world the ball never gets super stuck, but maybe it could have simply been that there's a maximum amount of hits before the ai gives up on the level and the next level starts. I definitely think there's a lot of potential in this game, it was very fun.
Thank you! That’s a really good suggestion. Our “AI” is very primitive as neither of us are programmers, so you’re absolutely right that a “max hits” would’ve been a great idea.
Fun game, with a cool idea. Was very fun to not only figure out how to get the coins but also just how to block the player as much as possible.
Thanks! We had so much fun playtesting it and discovering different ways to collect the coins/block the ball.
Game with a fun idea but it needs more impact on the player.
Like a way to influence the course when the ball is rolling so that the player don't wait in front of the screen.
thanks so much for the feedback!
Interesting approach!
I had a few problems:
When planning, I could only see X/Y, not Z. Some way of looking at the level from the side would have made sense.
Using tab and enter felt strange. Could not the same button have been used for most actions, because they were sequential anyway?
Showing mouse in menu, but not being able to click was also strange.
Other than that, very cool entry. Amazing UI work! There was a lot of stuff happening, felt very alive. Good job!
Thanks so much! Totally agree, a way to adjust camera was on our stretch goals list. The mouse visible was just a mistake I forgot to fix 😂
Tab and Enter we kept different so folks with tremors or shakes wouldn’t accidentally start and then immediately skip their turn, but better button choices were definitely needed. In an ideal world, rebinding!
Oh, that's interesting. Good thinking with keeping them separate. I guess maybe a cooldown on the button could have had a similar effekt. Controls are really hard!
Another thing I thought of, I remember now, is that the music restarted very often. I think it's more chill if it gets to loop without restarts.
But with that said, awesome work guys
The Game Was Fun But I Didn't Really Feel In Control ;D
thanks! Could you elaborate a bit so we know how we can improve it? :)
Cool concept! Ive seen a couple golf games but this is the best so far
thank you so much!
