Hi. We really loved your intro. We created a youtube video and we show it. If you'd like to watch it. You are an awesome animator.

Awesome, I'm really happy my silly little game was cool enough to be in a video like this!
Really good video btw!

Thanks. I'm glad you liked our video. Your intro was amazing.

Great story shows at the beginning! I like this concept :)

feels like a horror movie for the ghost haha. great job on the backstory!

Cool idea! The presentation is very nice <3 i loved played the ghost! Nice job!!!

This nails the theme so nicely :D It gave me a very nice experience playing as the ghost, trying to run away from and chase Pacman. So well executed! Loved the story as well xD

Interesting concept! Really clever and well executed.

A neat horror twist and I like the cutscene at the beginning

Submitted(+1)

Really clever twist (maybe because I'm a sucker for stories where a well-known bad guy is transformed into the protagonist and the hero becomes the villain), and the fact you can barely see what's surrounding you is quite terrifying. Now I feel for the ghosts in the game lol. I'm a little sad I couldn't find Timmy's legs, tho. Clever game, congrats

Well, I do appreciate the idea, you know that the ghosts names are Inky, Blinky, Pinky, and Clyde, right?  So where did Timmy come from?  Still, I think there should be a game over sequence activated when the pellet count goes down to zero.  Though that Pac-Man AI is kinda dum at times... Still, it would be a fascinating experience playing Pac-Man as the Ghosts though...

I loved the story twist where pac man is almost like Alien. His waka waka sound just gave me the chills while the screen was all dark. It was pretty fun, congratulations!

I love that game! Superb story, very cool presentation, two different stages of the game. All done in just two days? Fantastic work!

Just why is Clyde called Timmy? But then it just maybe isn't him...

Btw: Of course you made it to my list:

Pacman forever!

Developer (1 edit)

I actually decided to not have clyde in the game, but I did use tim from pac-man Jr (thats why he is called timmy).  But I think it's imresive enough that you know the orange one is called clyde. since most people dont even know they have names

I'm also very honored to be on the: unofficial List of Pacman Games in GMTK Game Jam 2023

I think the story in this is funny and well thought out, and I like how it effectively ties in with the gameplay. I don't mind being a slow ghost, in fact,  I feel like it recreates how slow the ghosts move in the original game after a power pellet is eaten (great attention to detail), and also makes Pac-Man a much larger threat. I do wish that there was more content in terms of gameplay, but I think the ideas here are very fleshed out. Great work!

Nope! I’ve watched Code Bullet’s Pacman video! You can’t convince me those ghosts are anything else than pure evil nightmare fuel!

Seriously, though, love the opening and closing cutscenes, very well done! The ghost felt a little slow to control, but I guess him being underpowered is part of the idea. I’ll consider this a mostly narrative game though, and as such, I enjoyed it a lot!

Submitted(+1)

Hehe, the game's premise made me giggle. It was a fun spin to have Pac-Man become a horror game of sorts. Nice interpretation of the theme!

Pacman betrayed my trust

I respect that you decided to add cutscenes AND a narrative to a gamejam game, and on top of that it is a fun twist on the game, not to mention i jumped when pacman just appears in my face

Submitted(+1)

Not Timmy! My heart broke during the cutscene ;(

The idea is cool and and I like the fact that there is a narrative part. The game is cool!

Submitted(+1)

Creative idea and fun story with great cutscenes well done. :D

I think the game could have been improved a lot if the ghost didn't move so slow. And I don't know how, but I managed to miss all three objects until there were only 20 pips left.

it's funny the gamplay is nice with the idea that you don't see far from you but the controls are kinda hard to use and the game is a bit too slow just a bit faster would be perfect
