How does your game fit the theme?
instead of playing the miner in a Gold Man game, you play the creature that stops the miner from stealing the gold. Don't let him get too much gold. If you can make it till the countdown ends, you win. 【ATTENTION】There's a bug in this version that causes the character's speed to vary on different devices. If you're using a monitor with a high refresh rate, it's highly likely that the character will move very slowly. I apologise for my lack of experience, and I 'll definitely fix it in future versions! Thank you once again for playing this demo : )

Seems like a fun game, sorry to here about the bug. If you upload a fixed version after the Jam I'd be interested in trying it again!

My pink gopher was too slow to stop the gold theft :(

Developer

I used Rigidbody to move the character while I didn't use fixedUpdate to change the position of it, so if you have a monitor with a particularly high refresh rate, character movement will appear slow : (

But thank you for pointing out this problem! I certainly will fix it and I actually learned a lot from it!

Good work, very creative concept, it was a tad difficult but I was able to beat it.

Fun game and take! The character is a little slow though, so it was very difficult, I certainly couldn't win.

Developer

Thank you for your feedback. I didn't notice this bug when I uploaded this version because it worked fine on my device. But thanks to your comments, I realised that I forgot to use the FixedUpdate method to process physics simulations, which caused the difference in speed on different devices. I have fixed it and also gained some knowledge about Unity. Thank you for pointing out this issue! :)

Really brilliant idea. Though the game is kinda difficult. I hope you can turn this into an awesome game after the jam. Good luck!

I agree that the miner was a little to fast but overall that's a great concepts, can you also play my game so I can get feedbacks please!!!

This is a cool idea! The miner was a little too fast at times and some of the gold seemed impossible to block but it was satisfying to finally win. It might be cool if you could place down traps for the miner that slowed him down if he picked them up. Good job overall!

Developer

Thank you! I love your suggestion and will definitely do that in the iterations!

Nice idea, would love to see it expanded, well done!

I like the idea, but the gold miner is too fast for the slow cute animal =(

hehe! good work!

Really great idea, but it would help to have more levels and you should make hitboxes smaller, cause it looks like you could pass under the middle rock, but you cant, (also you can use polygon collider instead of box collider) I'm writing this cause the level difficulty is relaying too much on whether the guy picks up the rock in the middle or not.

Funny idea. He's so quick sometimes you can't beat him to it!
