I see this is your first jam game, that's always quite the ride. Espacially with a team of 4+ , it's tough to organise at first, and if you are like me when I started out, you end up mostly gambling on what things will be doable on time.
I think for a first, this team did well. I hope you take this experience to come back stronger for your next jam!

Here's a tip that's often gets neglected: aim to have a playable prototype ASAP. Missing features, annoying bugs and placeholder graphics don't matter. Even if it crashes after 30 seconds of playtime, you can still send it to friends and get some very precious external feedback. You'll be surprised to hear what others find fun and what they dislike.

Best of luck!

I think a little more info would be helpful. Not clear what's different between some of the weapons. Maybe use other keys instead of the number keys, it's a little hard to keep track of.

It's a fun idea but I think it throws you a lot of enemies right of the bat.

well unfortunately we never finished, so I went till 4am taking what we did have and put in a playable prototype, the enemies were meant to be introduced slowly but we couldn't get all the built systems together. i have to agree that it's way to difficult right now and i wish i had more time to balance it, but I'm honestly happy i got it to a playable state at all

Lots of enemy and weapon variety, but I think it starts out with too many enemies.

cool! i like how you can swap weapons OR swap your size; gives the player a lot of nice choices :D

Great game for your first experience with game jams, it must have been tough to deliver it with such a short jam. The ship controls are smooth and responsive, and I think with some polishing, the game could be really enjoyable
