I like the style, and it's surprisingly fun. My only feedback would be to rework the character controls to be more snappy and precise. Well done!

This is incredible. Great idea, excellent execution. Very impressed by the polish. How does this not have more votes already?

Keep it up!

I see this is your first jam game, that's always quite the ride. Espacially with a team of 4+ , it's tough to organise at first, and if you are like me when I started out, you end up mostly gambling on what things will be doable on time.
I think for a first, this team did well. I hope you take this experience to come back stronger for your next jam!

Here's a tip that's often gets neglected: aim to have a playable prototype ASAP. Missing features, annoying bugs and placeholder graphics don't matter. Even if it crashes after 30 seconds of playtime, you can still send it to friends and get some very precious external feedback. You'll be surprised to hear what others find fun and what they dislike.

Best of luck!

Fun concept! If you decide to expand the idea, you should try to look into different stages. That would allow for variation of terrain, enemy types, and other ideas you might have. Best of luck ;)

This idea definitely pop up in my mind when I first heard the theme, but damn, this is more fun than I though it could be. Great execution.

"How many Shreks does it take to match the size of Texas". Perfection.

Hey fellow city-on-a-grid game maker!

Had a lot of fun with this. Choosing the right policies is key to scaling your score (great mechanic by the way).

Interesting take on the theme. Definitely a "programmer's game", if you look past the visuals, the mechanics are good and tough. I couldn't get over the 30 population mark.

You should team up with an artist, it would greatly improve the quality of your submission ;)

I was clearly not built for scaling haha.

Very unforgiving game, and I think that was the objective. Interesting take on the theme.

Reminds me of the game Kingdom. But with Racoons throwing shopping carts 400m into the air like it's nothing.

Great idea, excellent execution. Typique des alumni Citise ;)

5 stars for creativity. This is a great concept, and good level design around it. Some levels could have received a little more love and time tweaking, but overall an impressive submission.

First time I see an auto-battler in a short jam. This is an intersting take on the jam theme

This was surprisingly fun to play. The idea is great and the mecanics are well executed, well done.

Wow this is an orginal idea for sure. I loved it, well done

That's definitively a concept I hadn't though about! Missing a little more polish, but this is surely in my top 3 so far.

Well done

Three games in 48h? You wanted a challenge haha.

We also did a revered "catch the apple" for our submission, we had time for more mechanics. I would love fou you to give us your feedback!

Cheers

Great idea, great execution and fits the theme perfectly, well done to all of you, I enjoyed this submission.

The audio work is great. The gameplay is tough, I needed a couple of runs to get my first point. Well done guys

Killing cavemen is a bit tedious, reduced enemy health would definitively make for a more dynamic gameplay, if you update it late, I'd give it another go. The game was very smooth and I had no bugs, and well done for that.

Hey, the concept realy fit the theme, well done.

Just a heads up the game stopped working after closing the pause screen. Otherwise a rather smooth experience. Checkout our game if you got time ;)

3D games are difficult to make, despite the few collision problems, you guys managed to make a working game. Well done.

Guidji

Got 50000+ score, I had to go after that ;)

Here's my two cents as feedback: I'd enjoy bigger bullets that move faster and an increased rate of fire (at least 2 or 3 fold haha). If this makes the game too easy give the asteroids 1 to 3 HP randomly.

Also, it might be worth it to ramp up the difficulty based on your current score. Start out easier then increase asteroid spawn rate (or asteroid move speed or blackhole gravity strength, you get the idea). I feel like this might already be slightly implemented, but I couldn't really tell 😅

gl,

Ju

This is a great concept and the levels are pretty smart. I only wish there were more haha.

Awesome and very original puzzle game!

I love it haha. Even though linking health and amo has been done before, the cycle with the two phases makes the game stand out! The visuals are great too, you're getting a lot of stars from me :)

It feels like you were a few hours away from something amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed your concept! I would love to play again if you ever keep building it :)

I love that a mecanic that looked like a bug in the first levels, became part of the game in later levels haha. Good game with great visuals!

I'm curious to know what the developer's best score is! Some sections are really tough to speed through, but I managed a 3530 ;)

Even though chain gets in the way a lot, driving backwards is clearly the way to go.

I'm a big fan of minimal looking games, and this one is spot on. The swerving squares make the game tricky but I got pretty far I think!

We also make a difficult game, you should check it out :D

Dope idea! A harder mode with faster movement (including enemy movement) would be amazing once you get used to the swords :D

Keep going

I love the double jump animation ! The theme of the game fells so relaxing, I would love to have a small story to go along with it.

Awesome overall :)

Hey, I downloaded and played the game :D I didn't manage to get all of the bananas, but I surely had fun trying. The rotation was original, and had maybe a bit too much momentum. Overall pretty fun, and has potential if you polish a few things !

Impressive to say the least. This could definitively be the base for a local multiplayer party game, that would raise the intensity to the max haha

Top 3: 73:01.268. Trop facile les jeux vidéo

Incredible submission ! I love the bouncy turtles' design

Dope. I hope this game wins !

Very interesting. The fact that you have to take advantage of the maze to complete it makes it quite fun TBH!

This is sooo fun. I have no clue how you came up with this idea, but well done !

Out of all the entries that had the "limited number of moves" interpretation of the theme, this is the best one. Great puzzle game ! Well done

I love the interpretation of the theme. Simple but effective. Generally speaking, this is an excellent jam submission !

Very soothing for an "out of control" game ! Visually speaking, I'm impressed.
